Changing a spare tire on a hot summer day is a cool breeze with 1/2” impact gun. I won’t do a road trip without mine.
But ya tools, jumper cables, lotsa water, pistola, etc. This heat kills batteries and tires.

Portable power supply and air compressor. 110 volt AC, 12 volt DC, USB and a built-in light source. Also has Jumper cables. Should be able to find one that is similar on the Internet.
That would be in addition to what others have posted.

I have put together a carry bag that goes with me at all times. A high capacity pistol, 2 extra magazines, a quality fighting knife, a handheld ham radio, a list of all repeaters in my state, reading glasses, and a notebook and pens. And extra ammo.

I added a new item several weeks ago. An spare alternator fuse. It was a fluke, but I shorted the terminal where the alternator cable goes into the main fuse block on my FJ cruiser. That blew the 100 amp fuse. The vehicle was dead. It had power to some things, it not everything. The ignition had nothing.

This fuse is held in place on the bottom by 2 bolts. To access the bolts is a major PITA. With intermittent help from 2 of my neighbors, it took almost 5 hours. About 10 minutes to replace the $3 fuse and reassemble the fuse block.

Anyone that has a Toyota with the 1 GR engine that goes into the back country, might want to research how to do this. I got lucky, it happened in my driveway.

recently switched out my .357 revolver and carbine out to .45LC revolver and carbine...considered more stopping power. Also added another blanket and jumpstarter.
