I have never fired a single action and was never much into 22lr so when I went out to the range today with the wife and her new Christmas present I wasnt expecting to like this.
Truth is the only reason I tried it at all was her first two cylinders were high so I asked her to give me a try so I could see if it was a problem with the new gun or just her having to adjust to it.
I think the gun looks good even if I hate that hideous plastic safety lever. Ugh .. as a design guy I know that could have been integrated better if it indeed had to be there .. but .. its still cool looking
What I didnt expect was how good the trigger felt. Nice little smooth snap. Was a ton of fun and once I handed it back and gave her a little instruction she was taking out the small red dot in the middle of the target at about 6 yds.
Next go round I am going to do some shooting with it out to 25 yds and see what I see. Funny thing is my good buddy Larry D has given me single actions to take to the range and I always refused to take em. He thought the world of them .. Now I can see the allure.
Gun was easy to operate. The ratchet feels robust and the gun overall snicks very nicely. Under $200 all in ... the wife loves it .. win win .. and I get to play with it.

Really got me thinking about that Uberti 38 special with birds head grip I just saw at the range ... Hmmmmmmm
