By the end of her practice at the outdoor range at French Creek State Park, bullet casings littered the ground near her backpack and water bottle, which was decorated with rainbow hearts and a “Protect Trans Kids” sticker.

‘If I can’t protect myself, who will?’
Since Donald Trump’s reelection in November, nontraditional gun groups across the city and country have seen a flood of interest. The national Liberal Gun Club said it has received thousands of training requests since the election, more than in all of 2023. A spokesperson for the group estimated that roughly a quarter were from LGBTQ people.

Believe it or not, a lot of those folks who think they "need" guns for protection from the right become "aware" and the guns red pill them. Seen it happen a few times.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

Clyde and I don't always agree on things, but on this we do. I've seen exactly the same thing. Not that any dyed in the wool liberal is ever gonna have a complete conversion. But I've seen them finally get it (mostly) about the gun thing. And upon seeing and understanding we aren't all crazed wild-eyed potential clocktower madmen shooters, they then find it easier to actually try to engage in conversation and good faith efforts at understanding us. We may still be at odds politically, but they tend to realize at least that we don't actually want to put them concentration camps.

I'm not scared of them deciding to be armed. In fact, I have optimistic feelings about it. I'm far more worried about their conduct in the education industries, warping and twisting young minds to their ends. The mind is your primary weapon. And it is THERE that they are succeeding in disarming us.

As Clyde said, I've seen many libs start their gun-owner journey and slowly start to see the left's lies about the subject. Next thing they start questioning what else have they been lied about. The key is to be patient and welcoming to them. They soon see that we're not the monsters they were led to believe we were.

I agree; To me, any new legal Gun owner is the potential for a future republican, or at least independent/libertarian once they see behind the curtain.

I don't want them to be a democRAT or a republicunt, I just want them to read and adhere to the Constitution of this nation, and neither party is doing so. I have no affiliation to either party even though I hold beliefs of both, because the Declaration of Indepence reads that we're entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and neither party wants that for us either.

I'd rather listen to someone like Kyrsten Sinema than Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, or Olympia Snow (now gone), repulicunts gone wild, and serve no purpose other than stirring things up and making problems for the ones who want to do the right thing. Hell, Sinema was a better conservative than any of those I've named that have an R before their name.
