One of the many benefits of playing youth sports is every now and again you get a blurb that becomes a life lesson that you hold dear. Coaches are good for those one liners.

One I will always remember and incorporated into my life happened when I was on my high school football team and after losing a game. Guys on the bus back were kicking and screaming about how we had lost due to a bad call.

Oh the lamentations.

When we got back to our school for a quick round up and head count some were still at it. The couch said in his grumpiest gravel voice ... STFU!! Stop your whining ...

If it came down to a call .. you weren't winning anyway.

a little blurb that stuck with me all these years. If its close enough for a call to make the difference you weren't successfully overwhelming and defeating your adversary. You weren't decisively winning. I took that through my adult work life.

I too think there were election shenanigans but I dont know if they threw they election and even if you believe it could have swung them .. Time for candidates to stop whining about it and move forward with their messaging.

We need a good cross appeal candidate and I firmly believe Kari Lake can be the one. AZ is no longer going to win on the right based solely on conservative votes. They will need the fence sitters and I think Kari Lake can bring them. If she lets go of the past and focuses on her messaging.

Keep in mind .. the people at my wifes job are not fence sitters. They are extreme lefties and wouldnt be convinced Kari is the one if she walked on water and fed the masses through magic. her Trump endorsement actually works against her with them.

In Germany and some other countries they separate the students into college path and skilled trades path. Here we treat the skilled trades as an afterthought; the education mafia promotes college as the desired path and you only go into the trades if you are a loser. Over there they regard people in the skilled trades as professionals and they are encouraged to learn their trade to the highest standards.

Both my brothers HATED school. One dropped out in his sophomore year and one just scrapped through graduation. Both however worked for my Neighbor .. an electrician ... starting on weekends when they just got out of junior high and continuing until he died.

My middle brother took over the neighbors business and went on to become an Electrician, owning his own company and makes Lawyer kind of money and the other stayed working as an Electrical mechanic for someone else and while never becoming an electrician still makes Great money. This is a kid that cant read a book but makes short work of reading electrical plans.

College is not for everyone and I too remember when High schools used to offer trade programs. The dems have become the party of the elites and need minions.

There are plenty of excellent reasons not to vote for Hobbs. For me, this nonsense about a "slave day" during High School, is akin to the 'woke' B.S. of Rebel flags, Civil War monuments, etc. It (the slave day) was harmless fun, and meaningless in the overall scheme of things.

My H.S. back in Ohio also had slave days. You could bid on students or teachers (the "slaves" participation was voluntary, to raise funds for class activities), and on the appointed day slaves would wear outlandish and embarrassing outfits, and carry signs proclaiming some silliness regarding themselves or their "owner". Again, it was all in good fun, teachers and students alike participated (though, I don't believe teachers ever "bought" anyone, they just volunteered to be sold to raise funds), and I was never aware of any hard feelings or negative aspects.

So what if Hobbs helped to organize such an event? Big deal. There was no actual "slavery" involved. Let's not act like a bunch of 'woke' liberal snowflakes, and work ourselves into a frenzy over some innocent H.S. fund raising activities!

I'm not saying this in defense of Hobbs. I hope she loses, and she certainly gives the impression of being a worthless candidate. I'm just saying...let's not become like the liberal crybabies, and wring our hands over non-issues.
