There are plenty of excellent reasons not to vote for Hobbs. For me, this nonsense about a "slave day" during High School, is akin to the 'woke' B.S. of Rebel flags, Civil War monuments, etc. It (the slave day) was harmless fun, and meaningless in the overall scheme of things.

My H.S. back in Ohio also had slave days. You could bid on students or teachers (the "slaves" participation was voluntary, to raise funds for class activities), and on the appointed day slaves would wear outlandish and embarrassing outfits, and carry signs proclaiming some silliness regarding themselves or their "owner". Again, it was all in good fun, teachers and students alike participated (though, I don't believe teachers ever "bought" anyone, they just volunteered to be sold to raise funds), and I was never aware of any hard feelings or negative aspects.

So what if Hobbs helped to organize such an event? Big deal. There was no actual "slavery" involved. Let's not act like a bunch of 'woke' liberal snowflakes, and work ourselves into a frenzy over some innocent H.S. fund raising activities!

I'm not saying this in defense of Hobbs. I hope she loses, and she certainly gives the impression of being a worthless candidate. I'm just saying...let's not become like the liberal crybabies, and wring our hands over non-issues.

I say run with this full on, give them a taste of their own damn medicine so they can finally see the hypocrisy and stupidity of what they've done and do.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

EXCLUSIVE: How Arizona's Democratic Governor candidate Katie Hobbs organized her high school's 'spirit week' - where students took part in a 'slave day' and bid for younger students to perform 'degrading' tasks

Sorry...my "rant" was not directed at you. I understand you were just the messenger. I just don't think it's in our best interest to contribute to the hypocrisy and hysteria.

You're undoubtedly correct...if this was about Kari Lake the left would be crucifying her, and we would be defending her, with the same statements that I used above. Which is why I don't believe we should be part of the lynch mob, trying to pin a stupid accusation on Hobbs...it's hypocritical.

Im sick of people dredging up 30,40 year old perceived wrongs and making a non issue an issue. I dont want to be that guy or that party. Made me sick what they tried to do to Kavanaugh and I dont want to be party to it.

Had Hobbs and her class played the black card I might think different but nothing in the several articles I read on the issue says it was any more than some highschool fun. Enough being bitches.

I totally agree. I do think it has some utility in pointing out hypocrisy on the left when they would crucify someone on the right for doing the same thing, but it's very petty. Plus, I don't think this is the kind of stuff that would influence a swing voter. In my opinion, it just makes a candidate look worse when they push this stuff about their opponent.

They are experts at deflecting and hypocrisy. Pointing out how they do this constantly will have no effect.

Katie Hobbs runs away from Veritas reporter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOEpagPWKjw&t

At only 15 seconds into the video, we see where Veritas has gotten into the car of Hobb's "Head Political Consultant", Joe Wolf. And Mr. Wolf has a braced AR pistol riding along. Is he also acting as security personnel for her? Just a politically confused fellow gundude? Antifa secret agent? Forward to 6:29 and you can hear him describe it as a "crowd control" weapon. Back it up to 5:22 and hear Wolf admit why they won't discuss gun control.

Hobbs and Kelly .. ugh what a fuktard. Kari questioning the validity of the presidential election is all anyone has as fodder against her. Hope the voting public can see she is much more than that. Lets see

What a POS, Hobbs couldn't string any coherent sentences together better than Bidet but this guy thinks she's better for Arizona? WTF

+1000 .. she sounds like an idiot. Oh and what little she did manage to sputter shows she has that annoying habit of drawing out her words like they are questions.

Im going to say something that will likely be unpopular here and some of it is blanket type statements but bear with me.

I was in a discussion with a board member little over a year ago and said the savior for the republican party may well be the Hispanics and you would think I had shit in his beer but .. hear me out.

Guess I should preface this with .. if you haven't been here long and don't know me .. I am Hispanic.

So here is what inspired me to say what I did about the republican party. I was out on my morning exercise and as I rode my bicycle down the block on one side of the street is a Hispanic guy that couldn't have been 5'5" and 150 lbs and he is busting his ass pushing a giant mower up hill landscaping in front of a building. Machine seemed much to big for him to handle but there he was pushing like he was moving a truck.

As coincidence would have it directly across broadway was a guy about the same age coming out of a parking lot. He was a 400 lb white guy about 20 something and his hair was solid green. He was on some, way to small, BMX style bike.

So it got me thinking .. The transgender bathroom discussion was on full blast about this same time.

Hispanics are basically social conservatives.

Hispanics for the most part still keep a large family structure and often still have grandma or auntie living at home so there is a larger home social network. My mother was told by my grandmother .. dont give them allowance because they will buy drugs. That dynamic still exists in many Hispanic households.

Hispanics are mostly born Catholic and retain some connection to religion their whole life. Say what you will about Catholics and the religion but ... Im not Jewish but feel my Judeo/Christian upbringing which was the way you were raised in America if your my age left a permanent sense of right and wrong that you have trouble instilling in other ways outside religious teaching and being around people with a similar sense of right and wrong based on religious teaching. Now that we have removed religion from nearly everything .. America has a void in its heart.

The idea of Transgender just isnt going to fly with most Hispanics. Socially conservative. The Spanish language is even based on male and female.

Its not like there are no gay Hispanics .. I have met plenty but again .. its still taboo good or bad.

Vagina hats, abortion, dyed red hair .. your just not seeing them highly represented especially not in the older hispanics.

They still beat their kids when needed and usually a call from school means a beating and not a call to the teacher to discuss her wrong doing.

Hispanics don't have white guilt. They are not going to make unfair, unequal, punitive rules and hiring practices based on white guilt. You wont hear most hispanics say .. we have to hire a black woman for this role because .. white guilt. No guilt here.

Most importantly even if you forget that Hispanics are very much social conservatives .. Hispanics (blanket statement) like to work and they want to get ahead. Cant pass a work site in AZ that doesnt seem to be 85% hispanic working in that fuking heat and many are working supervisory jobs. When all these hard workers open their own businesses .. you think they want to kick over more money to the government for paying off student loans for womans studies degrees or for people that wont take a job unless they can work from home. Guy busted his ass from working the lawn mower to owning a landscape company doesnt want his money taken for bullshit half steppers.

Like most of us conservative minded people on this board .. The Dems have nothing to offer and just don't speak to us. I think Hispanics are going to make a big change in this election and will continue to fill the republican ranks. While middle aged women from California are ruining AZ .. I hope the new hispanic Republicans rise up to take their spot in the republican voting pool and I hope and predict they will. The dems have done nothing but cater to the elitist by capitalizing on white guilt and have subjugated large portions of our electorate with handouts. Good on Kari Lake for reaching out. My opinion .. smart move. Just wish I would see more ads.
