Disney has decided that “The Muppet Show” — featuring Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy — contains “offensive content” and can now be seen only on an adult account.

When viewers open the streaming service, which made five series available last Friday, viewers are greeted with the disclaimer: “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” the Daily Mail reported.

“Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe,” the statement says.

Said the Mail: “The warning is believed to refer to Muppet characters designed as stereotypes of Native Americans, Arabs and East Asians.”

Twitter users blasted the move. “Nothing screams offensive like fury puppets. When I think of a cultural danger to society, it’s obviously Jim Henson’s Muppets,” wrote one.

Might be lost on some of the younger board members but as one of the slightly aged .. this is HYSTERICAL.

The 60's and 70's was ALL about throwing off the socially conservative shackles of the WWII generation. My goodness .. if you have Prime watch episodes of a game show called "The Match Game" from the early 70's.

They couldn't find more ways to squeeze in sexual innuendo. Wife and I watched a bunch of them recently and it really is cringy. TV and America was challenging the norms and it was like a Teenager on his first date.

The FCC was under attack.

No more "I love Lucy" and even a married couple couldnt be shot in the same bed. Nope .. push the edges!

Cool. I get it.

Music, TV, clothing, hairstyles ... everything was about "be free Man" "Free thought" "Individualism" Toss all those old rules about appropriateness "QUESTION EVERYTHING"

Then those same people became parents and government officials and its .. "cancel everything" "no free thought" "Individualism is bad" "CONFORM OR BE CRUSHED"

Whew .. dizzying change out I could never have seen coming. They did bring about forced acceptance of EVERYTHING as "normal" but if you dont ascribe and drink the koolaid you are banished!

These people are the same thing they hated and rose up against and made through propaganda or birthed little dumb, conformist, close minded, fuktards to carry their banner.

Me .. Im off the planet soon but .. I sure hope for the sake of my daughter and granddaughter that "Question everything" makes a come back. In order to question everything you have to be informed and not just parrot the quotes, emotions and outrage what you have been told too.
