I think we had a tea party a couple of hundred years ago over a tax on a breakfast drink. What do you suppose this will do?

Didn’t the ATF issue free NFA tax stamps to the existing owners of firearms that were reclassified as destructive devices? I seem to remember this happening to the USAS-12 or the Cobray Streetsweeper. I don’t see this tax going into effect in the method it is currently being proposed since it would be tax after the fact for firearms already owned before the tax was in place.

I don't care if it is an NRA website but I'm not entering the number of guns I own or high-cap magazines anywhere online. Call me paranoid because I really am.

That would be me as well, I don't do anything funny but its nobody's business but mine.

This wouldn't sit well with any gun owner but it would seem to be particularly onerous to those new gun owners that are just getting into shooting. Hopefully it entices them to get out and vote.

I put in one each which of course that was before I lost them cave exploring.
1semiauto firearm = $200.00, 1 over 10 round mag = $200.00.
Sounds kind of silly to be the same for each?

I guess it won’t matter unless I have to count everything underwater since the boating accident and all.

Not going to work because he plans on putting them on the NFA registry. You get caught or a neighbor call the cops on you and you have a unregistered NFA weapon here comes prison time.

this is so absurd its laughable, I honestly thought it was a joke.....at first. The scary part is they actually want to push this

I’m very interested to see if this is discussed further during the presidential debates between Biden and Trump. It will be very interesting to see Biden’s response to the economic impact of trying to levy multiple $200 tax stamps to many firearms and magazines.

And the Biden campaign agreed to and then reneged on third-party earpiece inspection for the debate. I think Trump's team should find the frequency and plump high-volume thrash metal to the earpiece!
