In a recent nighttime raid across the Dnipro River by a unit of Ukraine's special forces, 25 Russian soldiers were allegedly killed or taken captive.

The missing included a battalion commander, Major Yuri Tomov, who had accompanied the enlisted Russian troops in the initial response to the cross-river raid. Tomov’s group was ambushed and the survivors are now in captivity. They had been carrying mobile phones containing information about Russian positions in the area.

Apparently Major Tomov was one of the survivors and was captured by the Ukrainians. He is shown here being interrogated by his captors:

WAGNER boss Yevgeny Prigozhin has died after his private jet crashed into flames.

Telegram channels claimed it was the Russian rebel leader jet had mysteriously plunged out of the sky and crashed.

Reports say Prigozhin is dead, and it's likely all on board have also died in the fiery smash.

It is understood there were 10 people on the plane at the time of the smash.

According to the "Base", the crashed plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin flew from the Moscow region.

Russia’s Gen. Sergei Surovikin has officially been relieved of duty after reportedly spending weeks on house arrest over his suspected involvement in June’s deadly military coup.

The news was first announced Tuesday by journalist Alexei Venediktov, who posted the text from a presidential decree ordering Surovikin’s dismissal as the commander of the Aerospace Forces on Twitter. The decree was not publicly available.

Actually, that plane was one of two associated with Prigozhin, and the other was also in flight and has since landed. So the death of Prigozhin is not yet 100% confirmed, since it is possible he was on the other plane.

But everyone pretty much expects that he was indeed onboard the doomed craft.

Putin ally, Ramzan Kadyrov, has been reported to be in a coma and in critical condition. Kadyrov has been financially supported by the Kremlin to buy his loyalty to the Putin regime.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is said to be in a coma after a deterioration of an illness, according to reports.

According to Eastern European news outlet Nexta Andrei Yusov from Ukrainian intelligence said that Kadyrov’s illnesses had worsened.

He said: "The information is confirmed from various sources in medical and political circles. This is not about injuries. Other details need further clarification. He has been sick for a long time, and we are talking about systemic health problems."

Kadyrov himself has a reputation for sinister acts of aggression.

Only this week reports emerged that Kadyrov ordered Elkhan Suleymanov, his personal doctor, to be buried alive. It is claimed that the Chechen leader blamed the medical professional for his ailing condition.

The 49-year-old doctor also served as health minister and deputy premier of Chechnya, but vanished last year.

His sudden disappearance led some in the know to speculate about his fate.

Telegram channel VChK-OGPU, which has links to law enforcement in Russia, said Kadyrov "blamed the sharp deterioration in his health".

The channel added: "No one there has seen Suleymanov since October 2022, and there is talk that he was brutally killed and buried alive in the ground.

"Absolutely everyone says that he is no longer alive and that he died a painful death."

Instead, he and a friend were taken to a base, outfitted with weapons, and sent against their will to the front lines of a war they never intended to join.

“What is happening in Ukraine is ugly—to see people with their heads open before you, to see how people are killed, feel the bombs falling next to you,” Vegas Díaz said in an Aug. 31 video, speaking from a Russian hospital, where he said he was recovering from an illness before being sent back to the front. “Please, please help get us out of here.”
