In a recent nighttime raid across the Dnipro River by a unit of Ukraine's special forces, 25 Russian soldiers were allegedly killed or taken captive.
The missing included a battalion commander, Major Yuri Tomov, who had accompanied the enlisted Russian troops in the initial response to the cross-river raid. Tomov’s group was ambushed and the survivors are now in captivity. They had been carrying mobile phones containing information about Russian positions in the area.
Apparently Major Tomov was one of the survivors and was captured by the Ukrainians. He is shown here being interrogated by his captors:
