Which caliber do you prefer? Why?

9mm for me.. There are many many options

I have been a .44 Mag & .45 Win Mag fan for many years. I live in the Brown Bear Country and always carry one in a cross chest rig while horse packing. My choice the past 2 years is the 10MM. Most everyone it seems is now carrying the 10MM.
The 10MM can deliver over 2 tons of accurate energy in seconds. I have the Rock Island 1911 FS, Ruger SR 1911 and the SIG P-220 Elite Hunter. These are all great with heavy 200 grn hard cast powder coated bullets.

9mm... First gun was 9 easy to find cheap and already have a good stash started. Prefer to keep different calibers to a minimum.

I carry 45 sometimes
I carry 10mm sometimes
I carry 9x25 dillon sometimes.
It depends on what out come I want.

Do I need to use my side arm as a primary weapon. Do I need to ingauge targets out at a curtain distant. Do I need to carry high capacity ammo count. Do I need specialty ammo.

.45 is my favorite handgun caliber. Easy round to reload and plenty powerful without beating up the hand.
