I was finally able to track down a set of 9mm dies at a normal price....I've been saving my 9mm brass so I can reload some sub sonic rounds for my MP5. Now I just have to find some powder to use...

Any powder that can be used for sub sonic 9mm. CFE Pistol, Titegroup, Blue Dot, Auto Comp, etc.

Got out to Rio today to shoot my ladder test for sub sonic 9mm. Using Alliant Unique, ran a test from 3.8 - 4.2 grains under 147 fmj's. Everything cycled my MP5 reliably, so I'm going to set my load at 3.8 grains, push 1,015fps average. Stupid quiet through my Rugged Obsidian 45.

Well, finally received my Dillon 550C (at retail).
I can load 380 & 223.
I have a set of Lee 45acp dies in the mail.
Now the hard part, I cannot find any Lee 4 die set of 9mm Luger Dies.
Will finish setting up and hopefully reload some 380 tonight.
Hunting for 6th edition Sierra loading data, not real successful yet, but sure I will eventually find it.

Glad the load is working well for you!

Converted over the 1050 and Replenished my supply of "shooting" 5.56. Loaded up 1,000 rds of pulled M855 green tips and then did a batch of 1,000 55 gr. Hornady FMJ's. Got them all QC'd, loaded up on stripper clips and stored in ammo cans.

I got this dude in the mail yesterday. Going to get it set up this weekend and get to trimming.

Yeah, I was taken back a bit. During my downtimes from doing contractor consulting part time for the DA at the Proving Grounds, I went out to see how Yuma was doing. Their Sportsman's Warehouse & Cal Ranch are ten times better than what we've got up here in Prescott.

Sprague's was all sorts of WTF as usual. Those guys were doing Floyd/covid/f*** Biden/Sandy hook/Parkland scare pricings before it was cool to do it. I'm not a fan of them doing it that way because they know that Californians will pay. Not a fan of a shop that takes advantage of fellow gun owners stuck behind the lines due to family or a job. But to give them actual credit, their primers & powder before the things went to zero was actually reasonable in prices. Now? Back to doing Sprague things.

Never heard of Sprague's. Sounds like a brick and mortar version of CTD.

I'd love to have a 1050 or an APEX 10 some day. I'd need to shoot a lot more often than I do to justify that kind of cost though.

After 2 months of collecting components, I’ve been slowly loading 1,000rd of sub sonic 9mm.

I originally got into reloading last year with the intent of only loading precision 6.5 Creedmoor rounds, so I only have a single stage press (RCBS Summit). Loading 1,000 rounds of 9mm was never in the cards, until covid made everything impossible to find. I’ve been loading 100 rounds per night, which takes about 2 hours...I’m starting to see the allure of progressive presses.

I love spending the time...it’s kinda zen.

I bought a jar of Gerber baby food because I needed the tiny jar for a spent primer catcher.

BTW, Gerber Baby Apple Sauce is not great. 3/10 stars.

Hahaha! Thanks for the review!

Last night I dug out a box of 300 Blackout brass that Randy processed for me a few years ago, and started running through the sizing die. I only got about half of it done, but I'll finish it tonight.

400 rds (last of my Federal SRP's) of 5.56. Used 55gn Hornady FMJ with AA2230 (24.2 gns) at 2.245 COL. Usually gets me to about 2900fps from an 18" AR15. Down to my last 1k of Winchester SRP's so I hope the primer situation clears up in 6-9 months.
