Anyone blow up their reloading room on 9/11? I'm looking at the damage to the house next door this Friday.

Does this have anything to do with the post earlier today about needing powder because of a house fire last week?

I don't think so because that guy's in Tucson and the one I'm looking at is in Goodyear.

Loaded up 50rd ladder tests for Sierra 69 SMK's and Hornady 68 BTHP. Headed out to Rio in the AM.

Running AA2520. Still shooting right now, but both bullets are shooting well.

Basically, I want to clone the Mk262 round. 77gr SMKs are next up in the test run, but I’ve got some virgin brass to prep first.

That one worked really well for me too. Wish I would have bought more of it when we did the group buy for $86.00 a keg.

sorted clean brass from last two shoots, set up a press for .45 acp, pulled down the press with .38 spl set up, so now when i have a moment, i can jet out and load all three without spending time pulling down and setting up.

i'll get at least 1k or more of ea loaded up this weekend. maybe even finish de capping a k of 223 or so.
depends on the weather, i generally get a gaggle done in reloading room early am, before i need o crank up the air.

happy friday

$86 a keg?!?! When did you buy it, 1992?

Got a $10 webcam setup for my beam scale...no more tilting my head to see if it's zero.

Hornady wants $25 for a power adapter for their camlock trimmer....I bought a $0.42 nut instead.

I cleaned it up front to back. Earlier in the day I was at the range so I updated my journal and cut out and taped the groups from the targets in the binder for the applicable rifles. I’m new here so I wanted to post pictures of the reloading room but they’re too big and it will take me a while to learn how to resize them since I’m not a regular at those sorts of things but I will keep trying and someday I will have pictures to share.

I had bought some 125gr copper 30cal bullets a year back to use in my 30-30(only thing found). Today got the e-mail from Berry's they had the150gr FP. Got 250 of them. I may pull the 125's & reload the 150's. Time will tell.

Cranking out some more subsonic 9mm for the Banshee.

147 grn. Blue Bullets poly-coated over 4.1 grains of Ramshot Zip

Finally got some range time to complete the final load development test for my Ruger American Ranch 5.56...seating depth!

I'm loading a Mk262 clone, so using a Sierra 77gr SMK over 25.2 grains of A2520 pushing 2750fps from the 16"bbl of the Ruger.

Found the best seating depth to be 1.790" BTO...grouped 10 rounds @100 yards in 0.86". Good enough for me.

Well, that was too hot!! That powder load was producing right at 1000 fps with JHP, but suddenly was screaming at 1115 fps with the poly-coated pills. No over-pressure signs or anything, and knocked the plates down with authority. But I reduced the charge to 3.5, and now I'm finally getting a much more sedate (and subsonic) 950 fps.

Neck turning 308 brass

Seating 75 elds a lil deeper as they won’t fit in mags, booooo. They were a lil tight and caused flyers at the range last week.
