I did a few hundred jobs in California, all over the State but mostly in the Northern parts. Met a lot of different Californians and yes, a lot of them are flaming liberals, but a lot of them are also conservatives who really like the state and climate but hate the government and the elected officials.

An amazing amount of them were gun people and a few even carried legally or illegally depending on where they lived in the State.

I've kept in touch with a few of them and the ones I've stayed in contact with have mostly moved to other states because they finally hit the tipping point and pulled out.

So give them the opportunity to show what they really are and then if they're liberals or nuts like 29 Palms, send them on their way.

Oh, and you've got to be careful who you fight with in Alaska. People disappear up there all the time and it has more to do with what they did than anything else.

Do you think he should give that up just because he has to put up with a little liberalism once in awhile ?

As an AZ native 60 some years I can say without a doubt, I don't care if someone is conservative that moves here, go home. There's too many people here already, period. Everywhere I go, there's some azzhole in my way or doing something stupid to piss me off. Everywhere I go there's a car with a Commiefornia plate pissing me off. Not getting a new plate right away is dangerous with what's going on. Try going fishing in the white mountains and see how the state has changed. It's a f***ing joke now. All you Phoenix dwellers can't even begin to find a place to target shoot in the desert anywhere close to where you live without someone shooting you. I moved onto five acres away from town back in 90 only to have the city move to me and surround me with new houses and the azzholes that live in them, bringing all the usual bullshiite with them. AZ has turned into a giant shithole and is getting worse by the day.

And it isn't just Arizona, it's everywhere. When I was a kid in Alaska the population of the whole state was 50K less than the population of Gilbert Az today. For that matter, the population of Gilbert is 100K more than it was 14 years ago when I bought a house here.

What you said is that the ills of the environment that your brother lives in, puts up with, fiscally supports, and supports through visibility in the environment, are all overcome by the fact that he's a stand-up dude.

My argument back to you is that the same argument could have been used during the 1700's, and our country was birthed out of the idea that people like your brother OUGHT to give up the one million dollar a year job.

It's about principles and morals, not an experiential argument like you're proposing.

Yep. It was hard taking the kids hunting this year. We've gone squirrel hunting out in the middle of nowhere for the past 4 years, to the same spot, and 2019 squirrel season was full of idiot Californians on side by sides, camping out with their 5th wheels.

I was at the Prescott Sportsmans, and the guy behind the counter is a Prescott native. He said 2019 was the first year he didn't renew his hunting permit. Said it's a waste of time because of all the people everywhere ruining it. He is moving out of state to nothing under 20 acres.
