Unfortunately, because he is not protected by qualified immunity, the good Samaritan will have his life and finances turned upside down due to civil lawsuits for his heroic actions. It is for these reasons that I would walk on by had I witnessed the same set of circumstances.

one must do what their conscious allows them to do, guess it depends on how you were raised, and what oath you've taken in life.
