Suck My Glock

Ran up to see friends in Prescott yesterday to drop off some gun parts and to escape the heat from the valley. I asked if they knew of some place nearby where I could take the dog and dip my toes in some water. The key, however, was that with my recent spinal injury from the crash last year, I can't do any hiking. So it needed to be easy access.
My buddy said he had just the place in mind, not 20 minutes away.
The doggie, which is continually frustrated with me for not having the mobility or energy to properly play with him, found some local girls who were more than happy to throw him the tennis ball and run him ragged. We pitched our chairs on the granite beach and put our feet in the water and watched the ducks and herons feed. It had rained earlier in the day, which cooled everything down, and a wet wind continued to blow, making it all absolutely glorious.
And no,...I'm not sharing where this is beyond what I've already described. The last thing I want is to spoil it by making everyone else run up there and crowd it with noisy a-holes.
But instead, just look at this peaceful scene and realize there are places like this to be found if you look for them.
