So of Trump's list of potential SCOTUS nominees, which is the most hardcore 2nd Amendment fundamentalist?

I mean, unless the Democrats have some sort of secret weapon to nuke the process,...it looks like Mitch is gonna get the senate to convene and confirm Trump's pick. So which should it be? Here is the list he let out 10 days ago (gee, did he know something was in the wind?).

Which has the best demonstrated record as a 2nd Amendment defender?

Bridget Bade (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit)
Daniel Cameron (Kentucky attorney general)
Paul Clement (former solicitor general of the United States)
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.)
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.)
Stuart Kyle Duncan (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit)
Steven Engel (Office of Legal Counsel, DOJ)
Noel Francisco (former solicitor general of the United States)
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.)
James Ho (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit)
Greg Katsas (U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit)
Barbara Lagoa (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit)
Christopher Landau (U.S. ambassador to Mexico)
Carlos Muñiz (Supreme Court of Florida)
Martha Pacold (U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois)
Peter Phipps (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit)
Sarah Pitlyk (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri)
Allison Jones Rushing (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit)
Kate Todd (deputy White House counsel)
Lawrence VanDyke (U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit)

I don't believe Cruz wants to be a supreme court nominee. He has his sites on the presidency. He enjoys the power of his current position, but would enjoy being the POTUS's more.

I wanted Cruz on the bench long ago. Would love to see him consider it. He is fully known in the Senate already. Not much time wasted grilling him.

I think Trump will pick a woman, and one that leaves the demoncraps little room to challenge. That puts them in a position where they allow the judge to go through or hurt their image (that their brain-dead people respond to) before the election. This could become the "October surprise"

Any super conservative black female judges out there? Then we can watch the dems show how hateful they really are.

The math on this gets pretty interesting.

Some Republicans are saying that getting Ginsburg's replacement in quickly enough to prevent Biden from replacing her is worth losing the White House and Senate if it should come to that.

Since the Republicans need every Senate seat they can hold onto,...is sending Ted Cruz to SCOTUS actually a smart move at this time?

Yet,...to counter-balance that concern,...here's a little secret: It's senate tradition that if a sitting senator is nominated for SCOTUS, hearings are waived & it goes straight to a floor vote. Trump named 3 senators on his new 20. He could potentially nominate Mike Lee on Mon & be confirmed Tue before anyone's blinked. Hmmmm. :angry-screaming:

Ted Cruz actually used to be a lawyer for the NRA. He certainly knows the issues inside out.
Mike Lee is strong.
But, as noted, we would hate to lose a senator, not knowing who would be the replacement.

Amy Coney Barrett has been rumored to be a front-runner. She will make the libs scream even more, because she is a pro-life Catholic who would likely overturn their sacred Roe v. Wade. That could work out, because the abortion fanatics are already aligned with Biden, so that wouldn't change any votes. On the other hand, if the Dems attack too hard against her Catholic faith, that could turn off Democratic Catholics (for example, Hispanics) who would resent the "papist" slander.

ACB has only one decision regarding the 2A, but the tone was strong. She sounds like she Gets It.

Who says Biden will win? I see Trump everywhere and have not even found a yard sign for Biden yet so my dog can piss on it.

Agreed. Every day that goes by and the dems pander and say stupid shit, an independent comes to their senses and either walks away and votes 3rd party or pulls the lever for trump.
