OK - For whatever reason (probably that I subscribe to a bunch of guntuber channels) about half of the youtube ads that I get are the Sandyhook Promise ads. I don't want to make fun of a guy who lost his child - so I won't... on the other hand - I loathe anti-gun organizations. To that end... I've started to click the "visit advertiser" link in the ad every time it comes up... because my understanding is that doing so costs Sandyhook Promise money every time I do so. I don't, of course, complete the survey, send them money, or anything else... I just click through to make them pay for my "visit."
Other than the proverbial cookie tracking crap... is there any way that me doing this is helping them? I'm doing it purely on the understanding that by clicking through it costs a bunch more than the penny or two that they pay to force me to watch the first 5 seconds of the ad - and I like the idea of draining their coffers faster - even if the money goes to Google. Thoughts?
