Mind set in these times, hasn't changed much, from decades ago. I have a reloading, shooting bud/neighbor,... known him for a couple decades. He was reloading long before I knew him.
He enlightened me to the whole reloading mental game, he seems to be stuck in.
He seemed to get stuck, in the rut of,... WELL, I HAVE THOUSANDS OF CASES,BULLETS, PRIMERS,... HUNDREDS OF POUNDS OF POWDER, and all the weapons one could own to shoot it all.
Sooo,... since I can't shoot any of it UNLOADED,... I better load up.
Thennn,... when he would get low on components, his prepper mentality would kick in and gather up more components,... then, he would say, WELL, I CAN'T SHOOT THIS STUFF UNLOADED,... and on, and on, and on, like this, until he had his reloading room walls filled with ammo boxes, stacked 3 deep, from floor to ceiling.
I wouldn't even venture a guess how many tens of thousands of rounds he has, in a multitude of calibers!
While realizing this pitfall, by his example, I try my best not to go down the same road,... but, I do have my moments of weakness! :violin:
Reloaders are no different human beings, than non-reloaders,... both subject to the same weaknesses during times of shortage panic,... just simple human nature, imo.
