Are you guys buying stuff online or finding it local? Obviously lots of it is in short supply, but I still see lots of people still getting stuff. Particularly Retumbo or H1000, small rifle primers, and bulk projectiles?

Some of the powders that are available just don't get used as much as the popular powders. Stuff can be found local and on line its just scarce right now. Primers are hard to find. Went to Dillon yesterday and they were wiped out according to the sales guy.

Seems like supplies are scarce. I’ve wanted to get into reloading but that part of shooting seems especially prone to panic. I want to work up good loads so I would like a small amount of several powders. Probably the wrong approach

I just moved down to Surprise from Prescott. When I get thru unpacking my mountain of boxes I will have some powder and primers available. Will post when that happens.

Much like most gun owners, no one seems to care till "the moment hits" then its an issue, working the long game is the best answer to over come the new laws, that will come from this and supply issues, its "their long game" pay attention, this was the the beta test for what is to come, as with the frog in the pan, the water is warming. jmo

midway has them in stock. I ordered some few days ago, still has not shipped.

Mind set in these times, hasn't changed much, from decades ago. I have a reloading, shooting bud/neighbor,... known him for a couple decades. He was reloading long before I knew him.

He enlightened me to the whole reloading mental game, he seems to be stuck in.

He seemed to get stuck, in the rut of,... WELL, I HAVE THOUSANDS OF CASES,BULLETS, PRIMERS,... HUNDREDS OF POUNDS OF POWDER, and all the weapons one could own to shoot it all.

Sooo,... since I can't shoot any of it UNLOADED,... I better load up.

Thennn,... when he would get low on components, his prepper mentality would kick in and gather up more components,... then, he would say, WELL, I CAN'T SHOOT THIS STUFF UNLOADED,... and on, and on, and on, like this, until he had his reloading room walls filled with ammo boxes, stacked 3 deep, from floor to ceiling.

I wouldn't even venture a guess how many tens of thousands of rounds he has, in a multitude of calibers!

While realizing this pitfall, by his example, I try my best not to go down the same road,... but, I do have my moments of weakness! :violin:

Reloaders are no different human beings, than non-reloaders,... both subject to the same weaknesses during times of shortage panic,... just simple human nature, imo.

I only keep a couple of thousand reloaded for each caliber and leave the rest as components.

That's because I've been known to tune my loads for specific guns for various reasons and don't want to pull some down to reload them.
