The
"point" for me is, anyone who wishes can proclaim anything they choose to be tools of an
enslaved existence. Anyone who wishes can go to the extreme of declaring even simple basic necessities of daily life, as tools of enslavement. After all, we are all slaves to oxygen, aren't we. It all has to do with perspective, in my opinion. Yet, with all the slavery conspiracy paranoia, I don't read a lot about anyone denying any such simple basic enslaving necessities of daily life, ever!
Even Siddhārtha Gautama, after denying all the simple basic comforts of life and eventually existing on only one grain of rice a day, realized his self induced enslavement just before spiritually awakening as Buddha. Whereupon, he sat down to a luxurious meal provided by his followers, after calling the whole denial thing to a hault. To the great disdain of his disciples. (poetic license exercised)
Everyone has their own individual red line about slavery in life, with any two hardly being alike. Which I have no problem with. Until someone demands I accept their red line on slavery, as my own.
