I don't know why this show got panned by the critics, but of all of Taylor Sheridan's other series he's created besides Yellowstone, I think this is his best work.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, Taylor Sheridan is the guy who wrote and created SICARIO, WIND RIVER, HELL OR HIGH WATER as well as YELLOWSTONE, MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN and other shows.

This one, LIONESS, is filmed down on Sheridan's ranch in Texas and is kinda like if he wrote a spinoff series following the Delta boys in SICARIO, but involving female operatives to make it interesting.

Taylor was an actor before he found success writing, and he occasionally plays roles in some of his projects. In this 2nd season, he plays one of the special operators. In doing so, he displays his apparent complete ease and aptitude with high-speed/low-drag gunnery,...which explains quite a bit why so much of the gun play that occurs in his movies and shows tends to be pretty cool and not lame.

And so the first episode of this season expended a butt ton of blank ammo. I don't know who his armorer is down there in Texas, but I think he made their rent for the year.

Check it out on Paramount if you haven't yet.

Thank you for this posting! S1 was great, and I'd all but forgotten Mayor after Rennar's accident.

Saw the first episode of season 2 last night, top notch, just like the first season.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day
