So few even know about this. Most here will deny it. Property tax is all the proof you need, slaves do not own property.

The house I live in, the state has already taken more property taxes from myself and my parents who I bought it from than it cost to build.

I don't disagree, what would you propose to end the slavery to the government?

That was 1 of my favorite things to bring up to people. I would say....if you own your home and property don't pay the taxes on them, and see just how long you own them. Just got looked at like I had 2 heads but never an arguement.

So few people will ever get it, even the flag waving patriots will stand there like a deer in the headlights when you present them with the truth. We are more free than some countries but are slaves in so many other ways that people will never see.

Property tax should go away as soon as you retire IMHO.

But it never will.

I would start building my dream home tomorrow if they did away with property tax today. But since I receive no more services paying property taxes on a 200K house than I would on a 1.5 million dollar home I will probably never build it. There are a few states with no property taxes but they are states I do not want to live in.

What states are those? I don't know of any.

Some are lower than others, but it looks like all states have a property tax.

Unfortunately absent some kind of reset there is pretty much no escaping our bonds. But that doesn't mean we ignore the cage's existence.

As someone recently told me, we are all just sheep in a pasture. Having more money simply allows us to expand the size of the pasture but never removes the fences around it.

Yep ALL States have property tax.

Those with lower levels offset it in some way, from higher sales taxes that even apply to food, to higher income taxes or via providing much lower levels of public services to include school funding.

I thought a few of the least populated states didn't have any but it looks like they all do now so I will just buy more guns and ammo.

Many have told me that freedom is a state of mind.

But, none have ever told me freedom is free.

I wouldn't mind paying taxes, as much as I do, if the waste could be eliminated.

The point is that nothing you think you own is really yours absent your continued payments to the .gov. Thus you aren't really free.

You have an interesting belief, indeed. But contrary to your's, I believe " we are the government ", as our Constitution dictates.

Nothing has been done, that can not be undone, imo. It's all just a matter of will.

Oh, and I am probably one of the most free persons you have ever conversed with.

How's that being the government working out for you? Things going exactly the way you would like? They listening to all (or any) of your suggestions?

Not disagreeing on the ability to "undo things" but absent some spark there will be no reset. We will simply keep sliding towards a left controlled totalitarian state. Had Hillary won we would have taken a giant leap forward in that direction already and with her win would never have seen another Repub Prez.

As to your being free, stop paying taxes on your income or property and see how "we are the .gov" reacts.

It is working out just as I expected. How is your slave mentality working out for you?

Well, for some of us the cup is half full, and for others, half empty. As for Hillary, she is just past history, until she gets busted with the rest of the Obama conspirators.

As to your being free, stop paying taxes on your income or property and see how "we are the .gov" reacts.

You have every right in the world to measure your freedom by the amount of taxes you pay, just don't measure mine by your adverse reality, please.

Some fools just don[t get what freedom is, been in countries that don't know it either, I aint moving and i aint whining except for that dang old bullshiate of lieing news folks, been that way since the late 60s., pretty sure cronkite started it, pos.
just my opinion though, and frankly the only one thats important to me. hehe

I still don't hear any suggestions for fixing the issue. Do you propose to live like indigenous people with no services and no taxes. Does that option even exist? I just don't understand what the alternative solution is. It would seem the only true freedom is death? I like having water, power and trash pick-up. We all can't live off the grid. So just looking for more than just rhetoric concerning this. I like RJ am not complaining as i have a pretty good existence. Am i free? depends on your definition, but i am better off than i could be. Interesting topic and making me think at least.
