More state trust land gone

Next thing is the builders will complain that it’s too close to the shooting ranges and those will get moved or dissolved. Growth is good but public land for shooters will have low priority as always.

We couldn't target shoot on State Trust land anyhow, but BLM closed almost 6,000 acres to shooting, in favor of their crappy ranges, which they now plan to charge for.
Very few shooters wanted to put up any resistance. The next on the drawing board is Table Mesa, and I expect the same, a crappy shooting ranges, with thousands of additional acres of surrounding desert closed to shooting.
Oh well a 2 hour drive to a safe spot of desert to shoot in aint so bad. That is until the Fudds get it closed because of old flat screen, microwave, and dishwasher targets.

This has been coming for a while now. It just recently got approved to expand.
As a long time resident in the area I can’t say im excited about it however this area has been expanding for years and recently it’s accelerated greatly.

Is this a result of people shooting TV’s and leaving them for others to clean up?

No, typical city expansion. The land once was on the outskirts but not so much anymore and is being developed more each year.
Further out by the lake and on blm land the feds
Closed 6k acres to shooting in favor of their poorly built ranges

I saw a similar plan back in 2012 which covered the area from Lake Pleasant Parkway out to where the mountains end south of the 74 toward Wittman (Peoria's border). 50000 mixed residential units with commercial to support. Wonder where the water will come from? Can they prove a 100 year supply?
