Who here hates them as much as I do? You leave a nice pile and these ass clowns come through and throw it everywhere leaving nails and bolts behind to step on. Ask the guy who did this if he was going to clean it up and he says that's what the city does through his meth mouth. Had a few choice words after that. At least this one doesn't come at 3am but he is one truck breakdown from working a sin on a street corner. Every one of these people I have asked nicely to clean their mess up has been a raging asshole. Really wish the city would enforce the laws against these people.

I have tried for months to get some people to come in and haul my scrap metal away. Offered it up for free! Only stipulation is they had to take it all. Everyone wanted to pick through it and only take the brass and aluminum. Well nope...that wasn’t the deal. So I loaded it up today and will take it to the scrapyard myself.

I've got an old metal water tank I need to either find someone to take or I'm going to have to cut it into sections myself.

I used to take a lot of stuff from work but when the prices dropped it stopped being worth it.

I went to a place on 23ave or 22ave north of Deer Valley, got about $25 for a variety of stuff that filled the back of an S10 blazer.

Guardyan Angel, what did you get for that load and where did you take it?

Who recycles brass cases that doesn't bi*ch about them? Every time I mention it to the place in Mesa on Broadway and Extension they say "we don't like to recycle brass cases because there might be live rounds mixed in".

I have several 5-gallon buckets of rifle brass with berdan primer pockets. Useless to me. More valuable as scrap.

(sorry for the hijack 338lapua)

I have never had a problem scrapping brass cases.
The scrap yard I go to gladly accepts it.

Now they might not accept 500 pounds bombs any more being as the last one they were cutting on
blew up and killed the guy cutting it.

Plenty of places do like them. As long as there is no steel or aluminum or live rounds they take them. Even a live round when they melt them is not that big of a deal as they lower a lid over it before melting and a live round wont go very far when it goes off outside of a barrel.

I work near a recycle yard and we have a steady stream of tweakers that are hauling scrap in carts, on bikes, by hand, etc. The thing that aggravates me is when they haul something to the recycle yard and the recycle yard only wants certain parts of that item the tweakers strip the item down then leave the rest on the street right outside where I work.

What do they pay for brass cases in AZ. I just turned in a bunch in CA and got $1.83lb. If it makes a difference I had 1296 pounds of them.

As to the OP...tweakers gonna tweak.

It was at $1.30 something last month. Highest I have ever sold for as scrap was 1.90 a pound. Meth heads walk in front of you while you are shooting in the desert to pick your brass up out here, they have even ruined that.
