life-threatening injuries following an accidental shooting at a shooting range.

sounds serious, but C2 was never mentioned, bad press avoided for now.

I don't think a shot through the hand would qualify as life threatening so homeboy fuged up good!

Guess it could have been a suicide attempt that failed. Have read plenty of people do it at ranges and one guy rented a gun to do it

Remember here a while back, there was is the video going around showing a guy that shot himself in the face through his cheek or something. All because he got some hot brass down his shirt, he started freaking out and shot himself.

I wonder if something like that happened here.

Oh yea I forgot about that one!

There were a few gun renters who never checked out of Caswells. 3 or more over the years. Did not seem to hurt business as much as their neglect of range upgrades.

I've been a squad member at C2 for over 7 years and it's the best range around the area and has excellent R.O.'s.

For this to happen, I have to assume it was too fast for an R.O. to stop it.

I 100% agree. They've been awesome. I've watched the ROs QUICKLY take the gun out a shooters hands on a couple of occasions when things were starting to get unsafe.

Let's start a pool.
Hot brass down the shirt and freaked out and shot himself? Maybe.
"Unloaded" without taking the round out of the chamber and shot himself putting the gun into the range bag? Possible.
Fumbled the gun and instead of letting it go, grabbed it and got a finger or thumb on the trigger? Could be.
I am going with striker-fired pistol in an appendix holster, bent over to get something out of the range bag.

Still betting on a shot to the hand.......if a hand is shot with a .45 ACP out of a Nice 1911 can blow your hand clean off all the way to the shoulder.
