Undoubtedly, some of them are, but those on the NE and east of the Valley? Not as likely.

Some service members like to live as far from the Base as they can. In 29 Palms there are ones who live in Yucca Valley (20+ miles away).

I know when I was interviewing with Intel after I got out of the Marines, my wife and I were looking to live in Apache Junction which wasn't exactly next door to the fab plant.
