1. They ask that you schedule and appointment, but when you get there on time, they give you a number and you still have to stand in line with 100 other people.

2. Even though DPS is not writing tickets for expired tags, DMV is still charging a late fee.

Dps is writing tickets for expired tags, expired drivers licenses got a reprieve due to the in person requirements. Registration can be done online

True. It happened with Mrs. Flash in November and me in December. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

3rd party mvd for me. I have been using them for a few years now. No need to go to the regular mvd office anymore.
The little extra they charge is worth the time it takes to get in and out of there.

Don't do it

Last time I was in a AZ DMV location was for a level lll salvage inspection over ten years ago, for title transfers I go to 3rd party, well worth the extra $$, plate renewals I do on line.

Depends where you are. I bought a truck and went on Monday to register it at the office in Sierra Vista. Made an appointment for 4:15 but got there at 4 and was helped immediately. I was literally leaving by the time of my appointment.

Is DMV operating yet for other services. My wife wanted to take her permit test for her MC endorsement but hasnt been able to get tested.

Except you can't renew a Driver's License at the 3rd party places.

I believe they are authorized to renew your driver license also. I know they can give you a duplicate license because I just got mine in the mail this week.

Kind of, . . I got mine in fall. Suggestion, read the online manual and recall the basics for permit test.

Riding testing is 2 weeks after passing the permit. It's available to practice (off peak). Likely longer since more people wear mask like it's CA unfortunately

Interesting. When I talked to them in November they told me no, 3rd party couldn't do it. I just checked on the net and it says they can.

So a MVD employee didn't know what they could and couldn't do.

What a surprise.

You really expect a government employee to be competent at the job they do??? Silly you, Trix are for kids. And the vaccine is totally and completely safe, no side effects at all, right???

I had really hoped that after my self imposed hiatus that the forum would return to guns, outdoors and shooting .. yea maybe some vehicle stuff .. but here we are still talking about F'ng Covid and vaccines.

How about a little bit about your last day out training with your gun?? You know on a gun board

I suggest you stay out of the "Off Topic" portion of the forum if it upsets you, or maybe a longer hiatus is in order.

Ammo is in short supply, but my laser trainer isn't out of batteries. Every day, at least 50 trigger pulls between a few different guns.

Only one that can mandate a longer hiatus other than my self is a moderator or owner. Thank you for your advice though .. I wont be taking it into consideration.
