"CA lite" ? I don't think so.

Ya only know what ya know.....

Prescott used to be 4x4 pickups, Jeeps, and motorcycles. You'd be hard pressed to find a Cadilac or Lincoln unless it was already rode hard and put up muddy.

Nowadays you almost get run over by Beemers, Mercedes, and land rovers that never saw dirt. Frankly nobody gives a rats ass or sees a difference in their elephant or donkey bumper stickers.

That's a sword that cuts both ways. If you had any familiarity with California at all you might then "know what ya know..." but I don't think you do. And because you don't you're not qualified to make the comparison. I do know. I've experienced both California and Prescott.

Prescott used to be 4x4 pickups, Jeeps, and motorcycles. You'd be hard pressed to find a Cadilac or Lincoln unless it was already rode hard and put up muddy.
Maybe 40 years ago. There are over 100 million more people in the country today. Of course you're going to see development and population growth in desirable places to live.

Nowadays you almost get run over by Beemers, Mercedes, and land rovers that never saw dirt. Who cares what people drive or if they ever take their vehicles off road. Frankly nobody gives a rats ass or sees a difference in their elephant or donkey bumper stickers. I see a difference. If someone is stuck or needs roadside help and I see evidence that they are conservative I will stop and help. If I see any indication that they are a democrat or left-leaning at all (purple hair is a hard clue), I'm driving on by.

Cali-light is being kind.
In response to the hysterical nonsense of "OMG! Prescott is Cali-lite!" I'll reiterate, Republicans in Yavapai County outnumber democrats two to one. This is reality and it's not hard to understand.

As someone who has migrated out of Kalifornistan, I will also attest to this. I was a transplant to Kali via the military, and it wasn't "horrible" then in '86 when I got there. Being from Texas, it was still shocking though. Over time, you grow accustomed to the tyranny, and when you realize just how much they're screwing with you, you get up and out. Sadly, most of the transplants here from there are RINOs, they say and talk but they vote for the stupid same as the commies.

You prove my point demonstrating how little you do know.

Lame.

That doesn't mean anything to me or anyone else. Be specific FFS!

If it weren't for the shrill, silly screams of "Kalifornians are ruining Arizona!" in the echo chamber of the internet and ridiculous, unproveable memes, you would have nothing.

I've provided verifiable facts but, like a child insisting that "Santa is real!" You stamp your feet, hold your breath and turn purple while the adults in the room laugh.

Odd. I moved to Arizona almost three years ago. I am a hard core conservative and single issue voter. I vote for issues and candidates that further the Second Amendment and every expat Californian I know or have ever met in Arizona does the same. One of my friends, a "transplant" from Texas lives in the neighboring city of Prescott Valley and tells me the vast majority of his neighbors are from California and conservative. Granted, this is second hand information but I have no reason to doubt him.

You haven't provided verifiable facts, you've provided your opinions, just as we have. Our observations are made in the metropolises of Phoenix and Tucson, which is where the majority of the population in AZ is. You can believe anything you want, but you should really get better information. Honestly, you haven't lived here long enough to derive an opinion of who's here, and what and/or who they're voting for. You're like a teen child telling their parents how wrong they are with little to no knowledge of what you're speaking of from experience.

Many people say they're "conservative", but they don't vote that way. Most vote "their feelings" over hard facts, which is kinda what you're doing now.

Since I "don't have familiarity with California" and "I don't know what I don't know". BUTT this "FACT" was so obviously idiotic and so easy to check, it got the best of me, I came out of ignoring this crap and commented. I had to do it.

Sigh... that's the population density of urban areas, dude. I said 55% of California is rural not 55% of California's population lives rurally.

Gee Mohave desert 6,000 sq miles, 600 people, yeah dirt matters, dirt votes dirt runs away to other states I know that's exactly what you meant.

Got it. You were speaking to Clyde. Amazing that the guy you were referencing on a public discussion board might chime in.

Instead of apologizing for being wrong, flinging insulting remarks, and the posting of charts that are ridiculously and obviously irrelevant; you double down with some inane remark: "Gee Mohave desert 6,000 sq miles, 600 people, yeah dirt matters, dirt votes dirt runs away to other states".

What does that even mean?

Seriously, try to make sense of that. No really, show it to someone who has no dog in this fight and watch the laughter bubble up in their throats.

This isn't even fair. I feel like I'm arguing with someone afflicted with a genetic chromosome 21 disorder.

And that makes me think, in the name of decency, that I should just stop.

Wealthy Californians are ditching the state for the 'Beverly Hills of Arizona'

Paradise Valley, dubbed by some the "Beverly Hills of Arizona," has seen an influx of wealthy Californians.
Movers come for the privacy, luxurious lifestyle, lower taxes, and quality of life.
They're coming from across the state, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
