There is a difference between being born in CA and being a Californian. I happened to have been born while my folks were in CA and then went back to Southern IL. My dad got a job offer years later in northern CA and ended up getting a better offer out of the blue in Southern CA on the way there so despite our misgivings about southern CA culture we ended up living there. However, we lived in a rural area outside of town in the farmhouse that was built by the family that owned most of that land back in the late 1800's. I grew up riding horses and shoveling shit and my first job was working at a ranch store...not exactly the "Socal experience". I'm about the most redneck person and am further to the right than Ron Paul, however, most people I have met here or dealt with in CA are the kind of people who will gladly lick the boot that is on their neck rather than stand up for anything. The current culture in AZ is evidence of this spread of the "look out the blinds and don't do anything about the crime being committed in my front yard" mentality being spread by CA folks migrating here. I can assure you, that is not how I was raised. I've got 108 bullet fragments in me, a pound of titanium, and have fired 70rds in anger so far and I still got another 30yrs left on this mudball. The same assholes they call "flatlanders" up north are just the same CA/trash douchebags ruining any trip to a local lake down here. I moved out here to get away from those types and now they are flocking here as well. In two years my kid goes in the USAF and I'm taking my ass back to Southern Illinois or Tennessee, the CAltards and AZ converts to leftism can fight the illegals over control of this god-forsaken real estate. If you've noticed the exponential increase of "carnicerias" and "llanteras" in your neighborhood, you can see what unchecked immigration does to an area and it's culture. The old AZ is dead, it's now just a suburb of CA and Mexico. Have never lived somewhere so devoid of common culture and courtesy, it's millions of people working their asses off to pay the CA-esque cost of living while praying that their A/C doesn't break. As much as everyone is expecting me to take your slight personally and come in with some well-orchestrated rebuttal, that would first require me to give a shit about CA or AZ, but the reality is that they are both the same anymore. Much like defending the honor of a whore, I'm not gonna trade blows over something that has no profit. I've watched this state slide from being a beacon of freedom and self-reliance to being an apathetic corrupt shithole, ain't gonna dirty my hands standing up for it. Thirty years ago those would've been fighting words, but nowadays it's just flatulence coming from the second loose orifice on your body

And if you live in Prescott and don't see how the CA influx is ruining places then you are probably a chromosome shy of average. You believe what you want about whatever, there are people that claim Biden is doing a good job too despite all the evidence to the contrary

You live in Pima county where registered democrats outnumber Republicans by almost 75,000. Prescott is in Yavapai county where registered democrats number roughly 32,000 compared to over 79,000 Republican's - more than double the amount of democrats. You live in a political climate much more similar to California than I do.
