Doc Holliday said:Arizona Law also says 65 is the max. Again, I never said anything about just the left lane specifically...in fact, it happens in all lanes. So the slower driver moves to the right...and still someone is right behind, tailgating and driving like a nut...and the slower driver (even doing 65) moves to the right again...and STILL someone tailgates and flashes lights, acting like an azzhole. Even in the far right lane it happens.
Now, if I am in the left lane and someone comes screaming up, then yea, I move over...but if I'm not in the left lane then they can KMA.

If your coming up behind me and im too slow pass me, that's how it works, i'm not required to get out of your way... I will do the same if i think your holding me up.
Flash said:Sorry, Doc, but it's 75. There are a number of places where that's posted in Arizona.

He said if they try to go around him he speeds up. I said why? He said why should I let them break the law. WTF this Dem is talking the law into his own hands. He said yup.

When it was changed to 75 I recall there being a statement that there would be no "buffer" in those zones. Granted, they don't enforce it...thankfully.baja said:Doc Holliday said:Arizona Law also says 65 is the max.
Actually AZ Law is based not on a maximum but what is "reasonable & prudent".
According to section 28-701 of Arizona law "No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent considering the traffic, roadway and weather conditions."
That is why they used 11 mph over the speed limit before issuing camera speeding violations.
So, actually in a 65 zone you can go 75 and in a 75 you can push 85mph.

That's ridiculous. With the growing road rage issues reported on the roads these days, that guy is putting himself at serious risk. I also wonder if he'd be labeled an antagonizer in a court case for causing the unsafe condition and triggering an incident. It's not his job to police the interstate and what has happened to driver etiquette? Left lane is a passing lane. If you've got tons of people behind you, move over. It's so frustrating driving to Payson or Flagstaff and having both lanes blocked because some jerk is matching the speed of the person in the right lane.
