I recall seeing some user posts even after they were banned. I seem to remember the sidebar being grayed out. I guess it's probably an option when booting someone to keep their posts or not. I can't even remember who started that thread in the first place.

Is it possible that they got fed up with all of the bickering and just deleted their own account?

To address the initial question: It was moved to the Politics forum, where it belongs.
