Minneapolis police f***ed up good. His description matches so lets kneel on his neck and kill his ass. If the city riots I would not blame them. This crap needs to end. He resisted so what, he is in handcuffs so get the f*** off his neck before you touch off a race riot.

Pretty ridiculous. If he was cuffed and there were other officers on-site, why didn't they pick him up and put him in the back of the cruiser? He was pinned for so long.

Don't know why. You would think they would put him in the car and things would be fine. But they didn't and this guy decides to Kaepernick on the guys neck is beyond me. Already been a riot at the police station and if these guys are not convicted I bet the town burns. At least I have not seen this on national news yet but I am sure that is coming.

It's all over Facebook. I couldn't believe how big the protests were. Hopefully they will be dealt with quickly.

Wish the FBI would just step in and charge all 4 in federal court. One cop killed him and 3 witnessed and did nothing to stop the cop from kneeling on his neck. Kneeling on a neck needs to be federally banned and any cop that does it is charged that day. If they riot over this I hope they leave black business owners out of it as well as innocent white people and take the riot to the police station where it should be taken.

I could see a situation where pinning someone by the neck like that is justifiable in order to restrain someone, but that's not what was happening. He was just parked on top of him while the guy was saying he couldn't breathe. I can't believe how long he was kneeling on his neck with the life drained out of him slowly.

When are cops going to stand up against other cops like the guy in this case and say back down and get off his neck? Or even grab the motherfucker and take him off the guys neck? When is the police culture going to change and prevent other cops jumping another cops ass for calling out things like this? Instead they just stand there like a f***ing robot while a man dies.

deplorable, only way to get the "blue'' line is to attach lawsuits to the leo retirement funds, misconduct payments due to the illegal shiat comes outta their retirement fund group, and i'd bet this chiat comes to an end.

That's a great idea that deserves further consideration!

Ok, I am going to try to paint the picture from the other side. Before I do, MANY of you on here know me personally and know I am not a supporter of rights violations and do not participate in protecting anyone blue, red, green or what if they have violated someone's rights. For those who dislike me simply because of my profession, whatever.

Regardless, because of a previously NON VIOLENT offender I have undergone 3 spine surgeries and am set for at least 2 to 4 more, simply to be able to continue my career, walk and exist with a diminished pain level. Note I did not say without pain.

That said, there are times pinning someone as such is necessary to physically control them. If you cant move your head it is hard if not impossible to fight. When the fight is over you should release it and move the subject to a more relaxed position.

If anything the officers may likely be neglectful of a caretaking responsibility and need be dealt with. It does not mean restraining someone in such a manner in order to place them under arrest is or even should be illegal it simply requires more caution and restraint in its use.

Cases like this should be examined in entirety not the fact the individual was previously non violent

Hey, no doubt there are issues and times such force is required and warranted, but.......we all know in the heat of the moment we can loose site of goal, and continue on a path we have charted, i get it, but its up to the "squad'' or group to police them selves to maintain the civil responsibility, not saying lay down and take the hit, but know when a associate is over the line, and stand for what you hired on to do. .......................dissappointing that its "them'" versus "us" in a lot of interactions.
bummer for the dead guy, and the fella or gal that provided the topic for this discussion.

happy wed for us live ones

I agree and they should be investigated and if called for dealt with appropriately. I was only giving food for thought

I was taught never the neck. Preferably the back but the head is ok as long as you are controlling the pressure. In either case once cuffed you get off or keep a hand on each shoulder. You can also hobble if they are out of control and you can control the head if they are self destructive.

Again never the neck and most departments teach to move them to a sitting recovery position if they are cooperative. You do this for several reasons that should be obvious but among those are no pressure on the torso and no reason to complain that your suffocating them by being on them.

Again never on the neck, infect any pressure on the neck is strictly forbidden my many dept i.e certain choke holds.

Once cuffed you really have no reason to put very much pressure on them at all and if you do tactics change because the situation changed.

As conservatives, we pride ourselves on our unwavering support of the Thin Blue Line, on backing our cops against leftist slander, and yet stupid and evil people in law enforcement are putting that default thumbs-up from normal Americans at risk. It’s bad enough when we watch the ridiculous spectacle of Deputy Karren and Deputy Man-Karen yelling at some mom for committing felony play-dating, but then we see how the FBI has flat-out framed political enemies and it’s too much. If the LEO community does not police its own ranks and stamp out this nonsense, it might as well take all the goodwill it has earned over the years, douse it in cheap gasoline, and set it on fire.

A big chunk of society, mostly on the left, detests the police. It would be a really poor idea to convert the right to that point of view too. But that’s where these trends lead.

As a conservative, I really want to support the police, but dammit, sometimes they don't make it easy. Accusing us of being "cop-haters" is not nearly as helpful as saying "We don't need rotten apples like this; they make the lives of us good cops harder."

You seem to think multitudes of other cops are rushing to defend bad apples. Can you show me this?

I’ve seen mostly condemnation from cops. A few saying to wait until the investigation is done...all the while saying that the video shows how wrong the cops were at face value. They are saying “innocent until proven guilty” but can see the truth as it’s shown. They just want all the facts instead of just the jury by the public without all the facts. * This is the minority of the cops I’ve spoken to

The ones I’ve spoken to directly say how disgusted they are and are truly angry at these cops for what they did.

He wasn't resisting. New surveillance video has emerged. No link will be provided. You want to see it for yourself, look for it.

Saw the video from the store, where they walk across the street. There is a time gap between that and the video when he is on the ground. Body cameras were activated on all 4 officers according to reports to fill that time in. Having said that....it does not matter. The video speaks for itself and justice will be served in due time.

I only wish the riots were not happening...protesting is good, and should happen, but when they riot it doesn’t help.
