They stated pretty clearly they are going for legislation of some sort, assault rifles and private sales at gun shows, perhaps some mag silliness but I think democrats will not pass this chance.

Its a pretty tight house to senate stack right now and I still believe that the midterms will swing right/ish.
Having said that, the hypocritical left after complaining about the previous administrations use of executive order has spared no time in ruling through decree and I think this is where they will try and make inroads into gun rights. The thing with executive orders though is they can fairly easily be challenged in the supreme court.At least that is my understanding ...
The supreme court has a slight skew Center right so ... things passed through decree might get shot down but it would be a lengthy process and gun owners would take it in the backside while its sorted out.
They dont really give a rats a$$ about gun control only the appearance of doing something about gun violence. They will shoot for the low hanging fruit that they think will have mass appeal to people who dont know guns and will meet with little resistance from many who do know guns.
Scary black rifles .. lot of gun owners will let that one slide by along with a host of other restrictions and that will be the focus. I see mag size limits, gunshow rules and private sales being "common sense gun control" nonsense coming down the pike. It will sound like big moves to the lefties and something a lot of gun folk wont fight against.
Its one of the reasons you have to be careful .. while I could give a damn about bump stocks .. once you let the inroads start they don't stop. Look how many gun guys on gun boards were very willing to let bump stocks go away. I don't own an AR and most likely never will but damned if I would be down for any restrictions .. give and inch and .................
Im preaching to the choir here but .. punish the criminal not the tool. Unless of course that meant sending scores of inner city folk to jail for gun crimes and jails filled with Black and brown folk is a bad look for the Dems. They could of course vote for policies to end the ugly circle jerk of generational poverty and enslavement but ..then they would lose their voting base.

If they really wanted to address gun violence they would look to solve the problem of why young black and brown men are killing each other at an alarming rate and look in the mirror and honestly evaluate the policies they champion that have caused and continue the mess.

I have no doubt that they'll try to pass new gun laws. I just hope they push bills that go too far that even many Dems can't get on board.

I am not trying to go down the rabbit hole of election fraud, I think it's all nonsense, but we do need to keep pressure on our state government to make sure that there is no bans on guns or further restrictions. Again I appreciate everyones input.
