Hmmm, and, what say ye,... storage_man ?

I was talking about the City of Phoenix, not Suprise. I'm a resident of PHX, so any members here that live in Suprise, want to take this on ? Should be easily vacated with the states preemption law ????

Even with little first hand knowledge I have on this,... I have to agree with you storage_man, just need someone to step up the the plate, with the next infringement!

Apparently he didn't want to go fishing any more either. Times have changed and unless you live in Show Low, if you have a rig hanging off your hip, especially in a park with kids running around, common sense dictates your chances that you're going to be hassled go up exponentially. I love the fact we can open carry. I used to in my younger days but over the decades people have become so distraught at the sight of a gun on a man(or woman's) hip. For the most part I never had an issue. A few times people asked me If I was a cop simply for open carrying which I found kind of funny; But the last time I open carried, the situation I was in changed my mind. I was at Autozone buying an alternator and the guy behind me in line really had a problem with it. He started hassling me about how I'm putting his life in danger and there's no reason to have a "GIANT GUN" and how I'm a bitch for needing to carry and so on. Nothing I could do as he was looking to throw down. I calmly excused myself from my place in line and went to a different store just to avoid any more confrontation. I signed up for my CCW that same night(When we used to require one). It's just not worth the hassle in the city; unless you enjoy confrontation with idiots. As the old saying goes, just keep in your pants, Hell, it's legal.

Why open carry?

I have open carried for decades,.... never had one confrontation,... not one.

A Right not exercised, is a Right lost.

I believe,...until open carry citizens start calling the police and file complaints for public harassment by hoplophobes,... the problem will continue to exist, and possibly get worse.

I feel that submitting to the paranoia of a hoplophobe only encourages further infringements by them, on other open carry citizens, exercising their Creator endowed inalienable Right.

The political pendulum has never been more favorable for Patriots to exercise their Human Right to self defense,... continuing as if our time has not evolved, only empowers the progressive socialist left diluted mind set,... imo.

oh my the sky is falling if you "open carry" , horse feathers, i say.
While i don't normally open carry, i have and i do when i choose too, and there is the greatest reason of all, '' because you can'', if others have issues, well then, its their problem, and one must learn to deal with it. While i care greatly about others opinions, i do not perhaps share their thoughts on their opinion but will gladly defend their right to have it. Having one does not mean one has to officiate it by following it thru.

Arizona has been an open carry joints since i was a tyke, so i'm probably used to it, and as noted, do on occasion, amazing how many folks seem to cower at the mere site of a visible unit. screw'm i say, they should learn the law before they turn into the whiners they become at the site of one.

Open carry one day a few years ago coming back from Avery in north Peoria, stopped at a little market.

Pick up some soda and went to pay, the kid looked like a frazzled snowflake, i thought it odd. After paying I got into my truck and started to leave a police car came flying in and the officers jumped out and went running into the store almost knocking other people down.

Actually I was glad I was not still in the store, went ahead and drove away the officers were pumped up for sure. Never saw that little snowflake working there again.

I see people open carrying in Tucson all the time.
I have never seen or even heard about someone getting upset about it.

Well get ready, with more and more Cali fruits and nuts leaving all the needle and shiat filled streets behind, they will be here in full force trying to remake Az. in their previous state image,... just as all the Cali fruits and nuts that have come here for the past couple decades, have done.

I see things possibly getting worse, if Patriots don't start nipping this crap in the bud by standing up for their Creator Endowed Inalienable Natural Human Rights,... before they go the way of the Dodo!

Most people dont even pay enough attention to notice. The ones who crap out mountain lions look pretty stupid if you respond appropriately. Smile, say ain't America grand. When they respond about the gun say no I meant it's great you have the right to act like a stark raving mad lunatic over an inanimate object. Dont forget how that right was and is secured. Have a wonderful day.

Walking away from phucktards is always a much more difficult decision and action than responding how they want you to. It proves their premise wrong in more ways than they even comprehend.

I've seen tards even in the 60s and 70s act like idiots over open carry to my dad and grand dad. It's just part of the deal. If you carry you should be prepared for it so you are in control when you experience it. Letting them chase out out before your buisness is complete isnt an example of being prepared IMHO.

aw its much ado about nothing, and posting it on gun sites about the excitement of how someone may get just propagates the bullshiat portion of it, its legal, get the fudge over it, and exercise the dang right or loose it, why does so many worry about the bullshiat that someone else can't handle, make it their problem, not yours. If more people would make the effort to exercise it, the actual fact of doing it would never be an issue.
just saying
