No details yet on what pocket pistol went off in his pants pocket,...but it somehow discharged and entered his eye socket, killing him. This occurred while he was on set to film a video, so may have been caught on camera.

Pants pocket / eye. How the heck do you do that?

No pocket holster. A gun in the pocket without a pocket holster almost always ends up upside down.
When I was dumb enough to do that, I never had it tumble like that

Just asking for trouble without a holster.
Too bad.

Pertaining to the subject line——
Should it be choose your pocket rocket carefully or protect your pocket rocket properly...?....Which I guess could mean “wear a condom” LOLOL

Sounds like much more than a “prop gun”

I picked up a BORA II KYDEX a few years back. I'll NEVER use any other pocket holster again. It pressure fits to the weapon for a non slip grip retention,... it allows access to mag release and slide cycle without exposing the trigger.

By FAR the MOST SAFE pocket holster on the market, I have found!!!

What more could you ask for in a pocket holster.

Here is a pretty good pic, from Amazon, click on it for closeup,......

That's why my choice of a pocket pistol has a MANUAL Safety and its on all of the time. Also in a DeSants pocket holster.

I bought my Shield45 without a thumb safety,... don't care for manual safeties on a pocket piece, very much. I do like a grip safety, like Springfield has. I also prefer the KYDEX snap on securely type pocket holster that completely restricts any possibility of the trigger being activated, rather than depend on a thumb safety in a softer ballistic fabric pocket holster, not moving.

I believe,... anyone that would have both types, in hand, for a real life practical comparison, would ultimately choose the BORA II KYDEX,... and for less than $20 bucks, I through all my ballistic fabric type holsters in the storage bin, and never looked back!

p.s.,... the slim profile of the BORA II has no competition,... most concealable on the market, imo.

Hmmm,... "pocket clip", ... why does a pistol in a pocket with an exposed trigger leave me with the feeling that a accident is waiting to happen?

Wooda, coulda, shoulda, All this is good and well but we have no idea what he was carrying in his pocket and how he was carrying it. Endless they have released it. Have they?
