I believe,... anyone that would both types, in hand, for a real life practical comparison, would ultimately choose the BORA II KYDEX,... and for less than $20 bucks, I through all my ballistic fabric type holsters in the storage bin, and never looked back!

p.s.,... the slim profile of the BORA II has no competition,... most concealable on the market, imo.
shooter, I agree totally with your choice, but I stumbled across this guy about a year ago, and I believe he is the competition. He designs them RH or LH, and with a hook on both sides to catch the pocket no matter which direction you draw. But pocket kydex is the ultimate protection, and feels like nothing compared to the bulky sticky/desantis pocket holsters. I had one for my G43, and just ordered one for my LCR

Ok so let me get this strait. I am in a bad situation in order to pull my pistol out of my pocket right? If I'm pulling it out it's because I'm being pulled on right? Ok so I'm already behind the power curve and need to make up some time and I still need to to go 1 extra step and remove my holster. It's to slow. Find a gun with a safety to flick off.

Pants pocket / eye. How the heck do you do that?
No pocket holster. A gun in the pocket without a pocket holster almost always ends up upside down.

Agreed,... more than likely he didn't want the barrel printing, so, he placed it barrel up. After pocket carrying for many years, some folks can just become complacent,... to their own detriment.

Wasn't Bruce Lee killed by one?

No he wasn't , but his son Brandon Lee was.
A bullet got stuck in the barrel when the prop person pulled some live bullets and dumped out the powder , then put the bullets back in the case.
The gun was fired and a bullet got stuck in the barrel.
Then in another seen they used blanks which shot the bullet out of the barrel killing him.

Interesting, did not know this. Always thought the wad killed him with a close up shot.

That was the up n coming tv star in the early 80s. Helped by being stupid enough to put it to his temple as he pulled the trigger.

Sad but you CAN fix stupid.

You are correct. The guy that shot himself in the temple was a different actor.

When Brandon Lee was killed they were wanting to shoot a close up of the gun in a scene where the bullets would show in the cylinder.
That is when the prop guy decided to use real ammo.
The gun was fired and since it was Hollywood nobody realized the primer could lodge a bullet in the barrel.
When the shooting scene was shot they used blanks with more than normal powder so it would show a big fire ball.
That is when Brandon Lee was killed by another person shooting at him.

In my post before this my computer apparently thought I wanted seen instead of scene so for all the grammar correcting dip sh*ts out there , I already know.

I picked up a BORA II KYDEX a few years back. I'll NEVER use any other pocket holster again. It pressure fits to the weapon for a non slip grip retention,... it allows access to mag release and slide cycle without exposing the trigger.

By FAR the MOST SAFE pocket holster on the market, I have found!!!

What more could you ask for in a pocket holster.

I bought one of those but its almost impossible to get the thing off without ripping it out of your pocket, I could not get it to come off reliably. Maybe i am doing something wrong with it. IDK. I prefer the desantis super fly. I like to have the option of easing it out as most situations are not the rip it out of your pocket type of thing.

Yes, you are. There is a half circle hook shape just below and in front of the holster portion that covers the trigger,... all you do is cant the barrel forward, in your pocket, as you draw, and hook that on the edge of your pocket. Comes out as smooth as glass.

I have have a couple of the pocket in a pocket type pocket holsters,... don't like how lose they are, if I have to be active.

Yes, you are. There is a half circle hook shape just below and in front of the holster portion that covers the trigger,... all you do is cant the barrel slightly up/grip heal down, in your pocket, as you draw, and hook that hooked/half circle portion on the corner edge of your pocket. Comes out as smooth as glass.

I will have to give it another try but wearing shorts with loose pockets i could not make it consistently work by hooking it. 50% of the time it comes out with the gun unless you aggressively pull it. Different strokes. I like the concept just worried in a stress situation it wont work.

If the holster comes out with the gun, you are NOT HOOKING IT.

This piece of kit is just like any other, practice-practice-practice,... it may have its own peculiar idiosyncrasy, but, most tools do, imo.

AT FIRST,... I would just concentrate on hooking it, practice that without worrying about how fast your draw. Tilting the barrel up, will automatically position the hook in the proper position. I wouldn't even worry about pulling the weapon out of the pocket, while PRACTICING. Just cock the muzzle up a little and draw to the point you feel it hook solidly. Once you get the muscle/mental memory of the HOOK,... then practice pulling the pistol completely out. When you feel it hook, just keep drawing with constant pressure, KNOWING, the holster will be left in the pocket. I forgot,... once you tilt the barrel UP, and feel the HOOK, just pull your weapon almost straight back, in a position almost level with the ground. This not only insures a positive hook, but also a clean separation from the holster, it also positions your pistol in a forward shooting position, automatically.

All the best!

P.S.,... consider this, since all pocket piece AD's are the direct result of trigger activation,.... which pocket holster do you think gives the best trigger cover / protection?

I bought two of these for my M&PShield45,... one I cut and filed to fit a pocket that has a triangular shape bottom,.... the other holster I left stock, for square bottom pockets.
