I mailed my renewal on Dec. 31, 2021. I’ll let you guys know when it shows up.

Still waiting…. Again, I mailed it on December 31, 2021. Called today waited on hold for 20 minutes and was told that they only received it on April 25, 2022 and were waiting on a background check to come back. Then she asked me for my mailing address and said she cleared the background check and the permit would arrive in the next two weeks…. We will see.

I spent the money on certified, got mine in 15 days. Another woman took that advice and got hers back in 8. Kinda hard to tell you they got it some time later when they have to sign for it.

Can somebody help me figure out why dps can make up there own rules. I thought this was a shall issue state. I submitted everything that was asked then was asked to submit paperwork that was direct result of previous paperwork in app can they keep asking for more paperwork. I’m not even sure how to get hell there dps I don’t know why they can’t see what they’re looking for.

Ask DPS through their web site about my renewal 3 weeks ago, got a reply that it will be in the mail Friday. So about 5 months.......

FYI...if you drop off your paperwork in person at the CCW Unit office, you get to skip the waiting line.

That must've been the case with mine. Dropped off on 7/12, IIRC...and had it by EOM.

I would give them a call when it's a renewal. People have told me that seems to be a good way and the people there have been very helpful as well. That seems to be a long time for a renewal.

Call or email them today. Your application will magically be "approved". It will still take them 2 weeks to mail you a permit.

I dropped off my renewal packet, in person, on May 8th. I emailed them 50 days later, and it was magically approved the same day I emailed...what are the odds? Permit arrived in the mail two weeks later.

I am one year into the current renewal. I went into the HQ on Encanto, and hand-submitted it with my money order. Got it like 13days later.
