FYI…. Just got letter with mine stating that you can now submit for renewal 90 days out now instead of the old 60 days out.

Just shipped my cwp application.

At the CCW class I took, the instructor said his renewal took 60 days and he was not happy.

Sent in my renewal materials on 9/10/21, called today, they are trying to get it in the mail before this Thursday. This is the first time it has taken over 30 days... weird.

So if your CCW expires before your renewal is approved/returned, do you have to take a class to submit for a new card?

Or - if your CCW expires and you have not submitted for renewal do you have to take a class to get another CCW?

I mailed my renewal on Dec. 31, 2021. I’ll let you guys know when it shows up.

I called DPS on 3/2/22 to find out if they received my renewal. that I have mailed 12/8/21. My CCW expired 2/4/22. I was told that they are working on October's applications. And that it takes one and a halve days to do one day of applications. What Bullshit.

I mailed my renewal at the beginning of January and received it last week.

Mailed mine on the 8 of April, they received it the following Monday, got mine in the mail today, so 15 days total time.

I sent a USPS money order and certified it so signature required.

Mailed my renewal on 4/21 received renewal today 4/28

Interesting it shows an issue date when my old one expires so I wonder if it is valid before that date..

I guess I hang on to the old one until then.
