So, I texted one of the scam-vertiser's about a gun.
Took a few hours, and he responded back that it was available.
I texted back asking him to snap a pic of it with a plastic Bic,
or #2 pencil sticking from the bore (which wouldn't hurt rifling).
Just to make sure he, and the gun, were 'real'. ...

CRICKET.

Found a guy with an AK74 on armslist up in payson a couple of weeks back, $1300. Refused to meet in person because of covid but wanted payment in advance and he would ship it. Lol f*** off.

Thanks for this idea. I had a guy in Scottsdale that wanted half down before we met and I was driving to him.
Just a reminder, don't send money paypal "friends and family". I didn't know that you couldn't get your money back with that classification.

If you are buying a gun, you won't get your money back no matter how you send money via PayPal.
Plus you stand the chance of having your account locked.

I'm on a sword forum as well. There they require sellers to place a handwritten note with their user name, the date and the name of the forum.

Insures sellers actually possess what they are listing for sale.

Paypal will lock accounts of both buyer and seller for months when a firearm is involved. If and when money is returned your not on PayPal anymore for violating their terms. Cannot report fraud on a PP firearm transaction or anything else that could go wrong.

The site has been a disease since it first started, I think Murphy at ammo az supposedly started it or runs it..either way don’t ven waste your time on it

Well crap, I will sell you my customized polish tantal AK74 with 15 magazines and about 3000 rounds for $3500.

I always ask for a handwritten post it note in a picture next to the firearm.
On the post-it I just want them to write their email address and gun model.

I ask sellers to take a pic a paper next to the firearm
I request Social Security Number, pin numbers to debit cards, full name, address & date of birth

Silence from the Seller and I can't understand why

Had the same experience. After negotiating a price, guy says he’ll have his delivery boy meet me at Cabelas🤔, wants me to vemo him the money in advance because his driver got beat up last time🧐. And then asked for directions to Cabelas. Hmmm 🤨.
