To top it all off no more Big Surf. Worked there in 89 and 90 and also worked at Andersons Fifth Estate in Scottsdale. Those were the days.

Oh my goodness. First time I went to Big Surf in 1975. Had good times there.

They used to do movies there also. Seems we saw a Disney movie.

Yes they had movies there too. Company picnics. Jet ski races.

I saw Pink Floyd dark side of the moon concert at big surf, in 1972 or 3. Back when they did concerts there.

Those were the good old days but I was only 6 then.

lol, funny stuff, nothing is the same, all the old haunts are gone, the gardens on baseline gone, dairy farms are all gone, used to ride me bike up to sunny slope and north mt and shoot quail,
meluzzo had a quarry, and we created havoc there, along with ole john chrisses barns, hehe, sure was fun growing up here, leave at day break and get home when dark came, wasn't all that many street lights, but boy howdy now places is like daylight at nite ughly shite.

they say its sign of progress, while i grew up in that progress biz, (construction) not all is for the good of the citizens here.

Remember how even during the summer it actually cooled at night. The valley wasn’t all asphalt and shingles. Holding all the heat all night. We used to camp out in the backyard as kids … during the summer. Now all night is too hot. …… oh well …. I’ve got to “ramble on……..
