You've got PM coming
I will contact him to see what they are doing. I'm more interested in your opinion, on legislative action. You said you contacted them about legislative action, since I'm very involved in it with AzCDL and always looking for support and very MUCH trying to figure out what shooters are thinking, what caused your curiosity about legislative action? My experience has been that shooters have very little concern or are totally uninformed about what is going on in Arizona, maybe a combination of the two.
Like "Jnojr" said, Arizona firearms legislation is AzCDL's mission, we have no long range, short range, rifle or pistol, shooting clubs. We are an Arizona firearms rights organization. We have recently formed a political PAC and a litigation arm. Our litigation arm was used to sue Pima county, we just won last month, with the court forcing Pima to repeal their illegal firearms law. In speaking with 100s of shooters at both AZGFD Expo and CANCON, only 2 shooters were even aware of the Pima law being implemented. They were also not aware that the law was litigated, then repealed. Several of the shooters I spoke to live in Tucson, in Pima county. Only a handful of shooters knew that Phoenix violated AZ firearms law because "they saw something about that", and nobody knew about the city of Sedona's plan to implementing an illegal firearms ordinance, a decision our lobbyist caused to be reversed.
Our full-time lobbyist reviews all firearm laws in the state including city ordinances, and works with our legislators at all levels, state county, and city. I'm only interested in two things here:
1 - What sparked your interest, causing you to question ASRPA about legislation action? That is not normal for an Arizona shooter.
2 - if legislation is an ASRPA priority, what are they doing, how, and would they like to join AzCDL, since we have a PAC, a Litigation arm, and a full-time lobbyist who reviews all Arizona gun laws? This is something I can ask the gentleman you referred me too in the PM.
Anything you are aware of about legislation, post here, in public, instead of PMs. Arizona shooters are in the dark, they have no idea what is happening until, before they ask, HOWED THAT HAPPEN.
