My personal opinion, but 6.8 makes no sense when 6.5 Grendel is available.

Commercial FMJ is available from Wolf and Privi Partisan amongst others.

Performance wise, yes. Price not so much. I was half right!

If you are wanting more of a niche gun that excels in CQB, (AND you plan on doing a 9-12" pistol/SBR) then the 300 Blackout is hard to beat, esp considering the ability to swap subs and supers. IMO, a 16"+ 300 Blackout does not have enough benefits over a traditional 5.56 AR to justify the ammo cost and reduced range, esp when 65 Grendel is available. On that, I'd rather have a Grendel over a 6.8. Take a look into the energy and velocity of a Grendel even out of a shorter barrel.
