I like the FAL and it's what I shoot. Very reliable and you can adjust the gas system for different loads.

I do love my M1A but it is one heavy pig. Kinda want get into the AR10 platform and see how they stack up.

I think a G3 is a better gun than either one. People complain about the ergonomics and weight but you get used to it.

A G3 will take more abuse and keep on ticking than any other rifle I've ever seen/shot.

Having them for almost 50 years, they have never failed to work. always gets a steady diet, no safe queens here.

I’ve never owned an FAL and I’m not sure why...? I’ve had several variations of M1a through the years, some acquired from members here, and fell in love with a couple I’ll never part with.

I think they’re a tad heavy, but tough and accurate with irons. Add glass and they become even heavier...but I love how they shoot and feel.

I’ve been on the quest for a light weight alternative to love and carry and shoot...but always seem to come back to one of my m1a’s

I’ve learned shedding pounds is an expensive process

It’s an old Springer five line receiver (1980) that SEI has refurbished for me.

It has their 18” M118 LR reamed standard mk14 1:10 barrel heat treated and nitrided. A few other SEI doodads like the integrated site/gas system as well as some other enhancements to keep her near optimum performance at minimum weight ...still over 11 1/2 lbs though :/

I stripped the stock off of mine and weight it. The stock doesn't make it heavy. Just the reciever, barrel gas system and trigger pack make up the majority of the weight

Very nice! I have a Poly M14 DMR with some SEI components. My friend Mike worked at SEI years ago and helped me with the build. Love these rifles
