1200 rounds of zqi 9mm 123gr in q metal .50 cal can at Walmart just got marked down to $185, $200.91 otd. If you value the can at $20, that's 15 cents a round, for some decent mil spec ammo. Both locations (N and S) in 35th ave have 2 left in stock.

Only the South 35th ave store stocks ammo, and they didn't have it. You certain you were at the right locations?

I guess I was actually on brickseek, but they are usually reliable form what I have found. The Walmart person I talked to at the S 35th place said they had some in the back. Maybe you have to ask an attendant? Brickseek says there is 2 at 75th and buckeye too. I dont know, maybe people bought them already? Beats me, but I can send you a pic of my receipt and zqi ammo if it helps?

Yeah, I figured out that's where you must have found that info, because that's also what I came up with. Walmart disabled their inventory tracker for ammo back during the final days of the .22lr shortage and as far as I can tell never turned it back on. Therefor, this is at least 3 year old data. Especially considering Walmart sold out of all their ZQI inventory 2 years ago and Turkey is under import sanctions now and none has been imported for 2 years either.

Now I suppose it is possible Walmart somewhere has some sitting around, but highly unlikely. A good friend of mine who used to work unloading their trucks nightly informs me there just is no way anything (ammo especially) would be allowed to sit in the back for that amount of time.

And even if this data should somehow be up to date,...much more likely that it is misplaced, lost or stolen and has simply remained listed as in inventory because no one has bothered to rectify the record. That sort of crap happens all the time. Walmart had some particular hiking boots I like and have bought for the last 5 years everytime I wear out a pair. Now they are discontinuing them. So I got on their app looking to see which stores still had a few available in my size. I had to hit 5 stores that showed they had them before I actually encountered them in stock.

All I know is I got one for that price.

And I'm happy you did. But the others all appear to be phantoms. I've checked all the stores that that website shows them in stock (with the exception of the Indian School & 51st ave store) and there's nothing there. Most telling is the situation at Bethany Home Rd. & 35th ave., where they haven't sold ammo for over a year, yet they are listed as still having them in stock. I think you just got an incredibly luck roll of the dice.

The point is, don't go around declaring something is there unless you have laid eyes on it,...especially when it comes to Walmart.
