And that is coming from one who hasn't done any martial science, right?

Not nearly as much as you (few have) but not inconsiderable. That's not the point. I've done a lot of shooting (a bit more than you, I'd wager), but I have no illusions. What Cooper wrote in that very important book was that numbers, size, and skill (with weapons or without) are usually secondary to the Seven Principles. I still practice with firearms, a lot. Much less with edged weapons, and hardly ever at my long-ago empty hand skills. All those skills are important. I am humble enough to admit that they are less important than the Seven Principles.kenpoprofessor said:smithers599 said:Decisiveness. Aggressiveness. Speed. Surprise.

That's a very important point, IMO. He could have gotten hurt, but he fought anyway.AZ_Five56 said:I saw that going around Facebook. He's lucky that the second guy started running. It could have been bad.
Coincidentally, our hero was just on Fox News, and he said that if he had been on that subway train, that woman would not have been raped. Hallelujah! A man who would rather risk getting hurt than stand by and let evil have its way.smithers599 said:That's a very important point, IMO. Compare that to the pu$$ies on the subway who watched as a man raped a woman, and did not interfere -- because they might have gotten hurt. Makes you proud to be an American, dunnit?
There are some people who will intervene, knowing they might get hurt, and accepting that risk. There are some who will not.
This man wins the Hero of the Week, AFAIC.
Finally, our sheep-like gun suppressors tell us that we should not resist a criminal because he might be vexed about it and kill us. What in the Spirit of '76 kind of talk is this! Lie down and crawl or you may get hurt! In all history the only bright rays cutting through the gloom of oppression have come from men who would rather get hurt than give in. The day we forget this, the race has had it!

However, since you set me up with a straight line, far be it from me to let the opportunity pass.
"I bleeve I'll have sumo of them French fries."
Also, good work, Marine.
Also, let's go Brandon.
