Has anyone had coating work done by Wright Armory?

It appears that they do parkerizing. I need some items parkerized and I don't need them to get fu*ked up like that old guy in Chandler did the last time I tried to get some parts done.

Just want to see if anyone has any feedback re: Wright Armory.

Don't know about parc, but I bought a new pistol from them a few years back. It was a good transaction.

Also Jeff over at AZArmory did some parkerizing for me a few years ago. He is on this board as "Azarmory".

I have not had any refinishing done there, but I have used them for half a dozen minor gunsmithing tasks -- installing sights, staking a plunger tube, etc. No complaints, professional operation.
Their Chicom Cootie protocol is a little over the top, IMO, but if that's how they want to run things, it's their business.

Man I feel really bad about that, I didn't realize he'd gotten so bad with age when I recommended him.

First Experience: A year or 2 ago I used Wright Armory to remove a pinnned/welded flash hider on my DD M4A1 and then pin/weld on a surefire. At that time, it was an easy transaction and they took the time to dig up pics of previous work to send me so I knew what to expect for the price premium. I felt the price was a little high but good work is never cheap. I wanted the uniformity among my rifles and Daniel Defense wouldn't install a Surefire before sending me the rifle. Work performed by Wright Armory was superb and looked nearly factory

Second Experience:
Last month I contacted Wright Armory about some additional work and they said even the locals had to mail it in because they where worried about Corona. I wasn't going to send off anything during the Corona Craze and have it get lost by a shipping company. I did suggest taking up the BestBuy process at curbside pickup and delivery but I don't know if they have gone to that.

Tim, that's not on you. We talked about that.

Had we both known that he sends his park jobs out, you wouldn't have suggested and I wouldn't have gone there. He pointed at the park tank when I dropped off the parts, then told me he sent them out when I picked them up... well, at least the parts that weren't lost.

Live and learn.

Damn, I forget about AZArmory. I'll send him a message through his website to start a dialog.

Thanks storage_man!

Thank you smithers599 and DRTDIVR I'll check them out when this COVID-19 stuff is over with. I've been into plenty of LGSs that aren't doing that kind of over-the-top business change.
