And then again, how does one know this guys frame of mind, I think the guy was gonna come in for a round house kick, till he saw the unit come out. the old guy is a victim, no way around that, and if he feared for his life, which a round house kick surely would have created a life threatening issue on some, then so be it.

The ole guy was only being verbal, nothing physical till jr. showed up with the line backer shove, he escalated it to extreme violence, and got what the reaction was.

I"d shot him more than once , shoot till there is no more threat, i'm old, reactions are slow, brain processes slower, hehe

RJ, I looked at the video at least a half dozen times, because I also thought the attacker's body language suggested a follow up kick to the head, on old guy, before he could get off the ground.

Even if he wasn't re-positioning for a side kick to his head, I wouldn't put it past his lady to have been verbally egging him on to knock the old guy from his sitting position, into a flat out, on the ground knock out.

But, without an audio recording, I guess I'll never know.

I agree with Jack D, you shoot after being pushed, with the guy walking away, is a non issue, he was not standing his ground, he shot out of anger.

I agree, Bad shoot in my opinion. Guy was no longer a threat and was walking away not advancing. Shot was fired out of anger. But I can also see the panic and frustration.

Hard to say with certainty without being there. From the video is seems the man who was killed was moving away before the gun was drawn. Personally I think the shooter fired out of anger, not out of fear. Also it appears that the shooter was the aggressor that lit the flame and started the situation in the first place.

No one,...NO ONE... knows the pre-existing medical/physical condition of the shooter.

No one,... NO ONE... knows what level of threat the shooter felt after being blind sided to the ground by an obvious superior size attacker.

No one,...NO ONE... knows the physical, mental, visual, state of the shooter after being body slammed to the ground.

I sure would hate to have some of you fine 2nd amendment patriots, on my jury, if I was charged for shooting an attacker I thought was getting ready to finish me off.

So if some guy comes running out saying what ever he said pushed me hard enough to knock me down and said something in the regards of hurting me or something and it made me afraid for my life, I would have done the same thing. Which is why I find it so abrasive to read all the judgement posts lacking all the evidence.

Hypothetically, the shooter could have had both knees replaced, the week before the shooting, and, going for double cataract surgery the following week, but we just don't know!

I think his efforts will be all for naught, there is a good amount of Blacks realizing Sharpton's and Jackson's little racist hype fund raising tactics. Just as there is a growing number of Blacks learning about the race baiting vote manipulation tactics, by the Left Liberal Democrats. Now, the Hispanics need to start educating themselves.

I truly believe, if given enough rope, so-called Democrats, of every ilk, will eventually begin eating their own.

Yes, the guy may be a loon, but shouting at people doesn't mean it's ok for someone else to blindside them. And the body language of the sucker puncher shows aggression, not retreating.
