All of a sudden, he's not so bad-ass. Good for the 2nd woman.

Since there was no context to the video, here's an article that went along with it

The manager at the restaurant allows his employees to carry if they have a permit.

well now, no doubt i have on occassion felt like this would relieve my misery at some eateries, but alas one cannot do this, and an appropriate punishment is due this a..hole. wtf, how come the gal didn't pop one in his a..., no doubt he was big, ugly and mean and she feared for her life, did she not. i mean ca'mon,

and here in lies the problem with a lot of folks who carry a protection piece, the ability to utilize it, the hesitation, could be fatal. just saying

I think the girl that pulled the gun did just fine. As soon as the guy saw the gun he backed off.
She stood her ground and the guy left. I see no fault in what she did.

The moment after he sucker punched the girl busy cooking, and then took a step towards the second woman while raising his hand, he should have been shot, period. VERY CLOSE quarters encounters can go bad in a minute fraction of a second, jmo.

The women with the self defense tool obviously, and correctly, read him as just another punk ass loud mouth women abuser, and saved him from some serious pain.

One one hand, No matter what everyone says, many people are just not mentally able to pull the trigger when that moment of truth comes. At the least she would have to live with that moment the rest of her life, who knows what goes thru the mind in a situation like that?

OTOH, I agree she should have shot the guy- his intentions were clear and now he will just do it again somewhere else... probably with better luck.

If there were more people armed and more criminals shot on sight (not just wounded) I think crime would plummet as well as unemployment and welfare...

Maybe the woman with the gun knew who the guy was. Article said he is a known drug dealer. He had eaten in the restaurant previously. Could be the guy is connected with other criminals and the woman figured she could become a target for shooting him. Especially if he was only wounded and he went back later looking for payback. She ended up quitting her job. Probably already feared she would be sought out by the guy or his buddies. Better not be in the same job location. Sounds like a bad or nearly bad neighborhood.

That does make sense- He did have a reputation and retribution when going to your car is a real possibility in a lot of places.
