My oldest son just received one from his grandfather.
Super light pump .22. Trigger pull is 2Lbs or less I estimate.
It was owned by his parents. So my kids great grand parents.
I traced the SN and turns out to be 1959 late production.
Pretty rough life as it was used a lot mainly rascally rabbit huntin.
He brought it by and I will give it a good cleaning, the action is a bit gummy.
Cool to see something almost as old as I am still hanging in there.

He got a good one.
They are good guns.
I got my first pump 22 when I was about 12 years old.
I have been collecting pump and lever action 22's ever since.
They are my favorite guns.

I learned to shoot with one of those. Got a few cottontails with it. Would really like to find an affordable one. Winchester quit making them in '59 or '60, as I recall. A good buddy got one about then. Rossi made (still makes?) an imitation, but it isn't as reliable.

I have had a Taurus clone for around 15 years, and I am generally very happy with it. It has been nothing but reliable.

The only negatives that I can think of is the Taurus has a superfluous safety that was added to the "bolt" and a lock that added into the hammer.

My buddy's son bought one of the imitations--I don't know the brand. It tended to malfunction. I know of a Rossi that worked well. I guess the imitations are hit and miss.
