When do fire bans typically go in effect?

I want to plan an outing up north or east of Phoenix with some of my employees and their families. When do the fire bans typically go into effect that would prevent us from going shooting?

You can expect them any day now. Usually late April to early May.

A week or two before Memorial Day weekend. But, if a fire starts it could be enacted tomorrow…there isn’t a set start date.

I’d schedule it very soon.

Should be getting close. Fire danger sign at picket post, arrow moved up to yellow sometime between Friday and today.

There are currently 4 wildfires and 1 prescribed burn in AZ, totaling over 25k acres. If fire restrictions are put into effect before the end of the month, I wouldn't be surprised.

It's only going to get worse.
