In the. What's your favorite rifle thread, I saw a lot of lever guns. So that's why I'm asking.

Levers are fun, and can be useful. Bolts can be useful. For me, all around... semi-autos make the most sense, most of the time.

90% of half of what I use is all three, the rest of the time I use the others.

Not really a fair question. A shot range carbine is always going to be a semi. longer than about 300 yds bolts come to the forefront.
I tend to shoot long range so I guess I favor a bolt. I see the question as a one or the other not which is better.

Bolt action - Long distance target shooting
Semi-auto - Zombies (Sig Rattler)
Lever gun - Fun and if there are any bison roaming around

I own one bolt action(Rem721), and one lever gun(Savage 99)
Everything else, even the shotguns are semi auto.

no pump or single ? got to love a "galley gun" 22

I like shooting 22's more than anything else.
The pump 22's are one of the guns I like shooting the most.
I have more of them than any other.
Lever 22's are a close second.

I use mostly bolt rifles for hunting because they are the most accurate that I have.
I do have levers and semis but they are mostly for fun

My true favorites are my semi auto battle rifles.
M1
M1a
4 FN FAL
1 (hate it but love the accuracy) PTR 308

Should've traded you that Stoeger double barrel a million years ago so that you would have ONE shotgun that wasn't semi auto

Agree with most everybody else, depends entirely on what kind of shooting I'm doing. But I do love a good lever action just for fun.

I mostly shoot semi auto, but inherited Grandpa’s gallery gun style pump .22. That thing is a blast. 26” octagonal barrel, patina everywhere, thumbscrew takedown.

Makes me want a lever gun. For a little bit more oomph, but old school feel.
